What customers are saying

The soundbar delivers an impressive audio experience with clear dialogue, rich bass, and an immersive surround sound effect, especially when paired with the optional wireless subwoofer and rear speakers. It supports advanced audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for a cinematic experience and offers versatile connectivity options. While the built-in subwoofers provide decent bass, adding the optional wireless subwoofer is recommended for a more powerful and impactful low-end performance.

    Reviewed by - October 24, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound bar was easy to get out of the box and set up the only thing that was needed was a optical cable. The sound bar has a great sound quality from the television and you can also connect your alexia and phone to play music . So far what we have played through the sound bar have impressed me . I have only been using this for two weeks so its still finding more of its features

    State-Of-The Art Soundbar Delivers

    Reviewed by - September 4, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sony - HTA3000 3.1 ch Dolby Atmos Soundbar represents a stunning advance in audio engineering! This soundbar is ruggedly constructed - you recognize at first glance that this is a top quality instrument. As for appearance, it blends in with any OLED or LED TV. A fully capable remote is included with the HTA3000. Not the slimmed down, barely functioning remote that is standard with much lesser sound bars. Don’t let the fact that this is a 3.1 channel soundbar deter you from evaluating it. The sound quality is stunning & the vocal clarity is unmatched. Sony also offers an optional matching subwoofer & a pair of matching rear speakers, which enable you to purchase this soundbar at an excellent price today, then expand your theatre by adding floor shaking bass & 2 rear channels for a small cost addition at a later date. This HTA3000 Soundbar includes the greatest audio innovation in recent times: “360 REALITY AUDIO”. This explosion of precision audio must be heard to be believed! In short, it is a clear, hard hitting sound that has not been available prior to the invention of 360 Reality Audio. CONCLUSION: I have evaluated & reviewed many soundbars manufactured by various TV & Audio companies. None come close to the Sony HTA3000. It stands head and shoulders above the rest. I highly recommend it!

    Great Immersive Sound

    Reviewed by - September 3, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great job Sony This set up is amazing. Soundbar, Sub and Rear speakers. Sound for both movies and music is excellent. Sony has also built in a new sound feature called 360 Reality Audio which is a new immersive sound experience similar to encoders like Dolby Atmos, dts-x etc.. You do have to find audio that have this feature which for now is only available vis a subscription based streaming service. Sony offers a trial period for a couple of streaming options. I tried the Amazon music and did notice you hear more of a 360 experience when I could find music that are 360 encoded. I did not do enough listening to pass judgement yet. Ultra HD audio alone sounds darn good to me. This is a new offering by Sony, so I am sure we will have more options soon. Set up was a breeze. The unit comes with a mounting template to properly position 2 screws in wall to hang on the wall, which is how I mounted. (See pics) I connected the HDMI cable to ARC HDMI (ARC) connection on the TV, plugged in all the speakers into the AC outlets and powered everything up. The Rear Speakers (RS3S) and Sub Woofer (SW3) all connected wirelessly an automatically were recognized by the head unit. The wireless sub and rears, really makes set up so easy. Next, Press the Home button on the remote to walk you through room set up. The unit automatically scans your room and set up the speaker volumes on all speakers to the best volume. Download Sony Music Center app onto your phone. This will help you to set up features like Alexa and adjust other Audio and general settings as well as play music. I set up both Spotify and Amazon Music. Connection. The remote has a Music Service button which takes you to Spotify, once set up, you simply press this button to resume your listening. Your TV display will show a nice simple interface. The other functions of the remote are laid out nicely and easy to use. You have a ‘Voice’ button that allows you to enhance the voices, a ‘Night’ button which enhances sound at lower volume, a USB button to play music from a USB stick, volume buttons for rear and subwoofer speakers to manually adjust to your desired levels. You also have a sound field button that provides more of a 3D surround sound. I have left it ON so far. A dimmer button allows you to dim or turn off the front display. This also controls the green status lights on the Sub and back speakers. Top of sound bar: Power, Input, Bluetooth, Music Service and Volume buttons. Back of soundbar: Power connection, HDMI ARC, TV input jack (optical) for TV’s without ARC (Audio Return Channel) connection, S-Center out and USB Port and remote IR repeaters. Front of soundbar: Front panel display, remote control sensor and Bluetooth indicator light. I use this system in my rec room for movies, watch sports and playing music when entertaining. I find all the connection options work well and nice to even use Alexa to control the soundbar for music. The A3000 is compatible with Alexa, Google assistants and Apple AirPlay. Also has Chromecast built in for easy music streaming. Conclusion: I am impressed with this HT-A3000 Sony Soundbar. True immersive sound and this unit gets loud. I will say though, that I highly recommend the Sub-Woofer and Back Speakers. I listened to the system without the sub and rears at first and noticed a big difference. That said, I was more impressed than prev. models though. The sound field and bass were pretty good for the Soundbar alone, but again, the Sub and Rear speakers definitely provide the ‘Wow’ factor.

    Enhances any viewing experience

    Reviewed by - October 24, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a Sony TV a couple of months ago, and because I am watching so many movies, I thought I would enhance my experience and buy a soundbar. The soundbar arrived and after unboxing I had a read of the set-up instructions (which were easy to follow) and after faffing for a while as I put my HDMI lead in the wrong socket on the TV, I connected it to my broadband network and it was ready to go. I was VERY lucky to have all of the final Star Wars episodes available to watch so tried the soundbar out in style. I was not disappointed. The built in speakers on my TV are good but the difference when using the soundbar was unbelievable. I was fully immersed in the movie and, audio-wise, it was as if I was in the middle of an intergalactic war! The soundbar does audio mapping of the room and you can really tell as the surround sound, in whatever style of programme you are watch, makes you feel as if you are in middle of the action. Looks-wise, it fits perfectly with my TV and I like that it has a built-in LED display so you can visualise when you are going through the menu etc and what input you are using rather than guessing when you are trying to use other soundbars that don’t have one. It’s an amazing thing and I now have jealous friends and family.

Great sound bar for a small room

    Reviewed by - August 30, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very very nice simple system. I currently own a magnolia system brand starts with M ends with Z and I am running in ceiling and exterior speakers. I have owned over 10 AVR amps in the course of 10 years. This 3.1 system I reviewed came with a subwoofer and wireless rear speakers. So that bumped it up to a 5.1 system. Setup and firmware (OTA) was straight forward and all done in a matter of minutes. Spatial mapping was super easy. No need to setup using with a separate exterior mic. eARC worked great. I am running 4K OLED and no sync issues. The rear speakers set up was super quick. One complaint that I have with all Atmos systems is the yoyo affect. The center speakers don't do well with voice and you have to crank it up to hear dialog. Then you have to back them back down when action happens. I watched various movies from kid movies, and drama and the speakers all performed pretty good. Mounting options is easy. Simple 2 screws in the back. 2 possibilities. On base or shelf Use screws on wall These are Great set of simple speakers. Great sound bar for smaller rooms. I have owned several other sound bars and these are decent for smaller rooms and more compact spaces. Will probably use this in one of my bedrooms. I would recommend these speakers coupled with a subwoofer and rear speakers.

Good alone but great with back wireless speakers

    Reviewed by - September 9, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you aren't looking to have a full blown A/V recdeiver and half a dozen speakers these soundbars are a great way to get quality audio with immersive surround sound. Out of the box the first thing I noticed was how solid the soundbar felt and that it isn't a mesh grill like most are. The grill and case are a quality metal or aluminum which not only is better protection wise in my opinion but also looks great. I had it setup and calibrating in about 10 minutes after unboxing the soundbar, subwoofer, and wireless rear speakers. It is noticebly smaller than my previous Samsun soundbar as you can see in the pictures which could be a pro for those with limited space. It can also be easily wall mounted which is how I have a soundbar in my office and these do look slick mounted on the wall. Overall sound quality is great. I ran the speaker calibration after getting everything plugged in and after about 5 minutes the speakers were done calibrating. I fired up some UHD streaming movies that were Dolby Atmos and enjoyed the show! Only thing that could be annoying is the rear wireless speakers have red light when not being used. Could bother some people if you are also in that room in the dark when not using them such as a bedroom. Overall this is a solid system with great immersive surround sound, crystal clear audio, and some solid bass for a soundbar setup. Connected my phone via bluetooth in a matter of a few seconds and stream music to it when just doing chores and other things around the upstairs of my house.

Great Sound, Feature Rich, Easy Setup

    Reviewed by - September 8, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the box you get the Sony HT-A3000 soundbar, a power cable, an HDMI cable, a center speaker cable for a Sony TV, and a quick setup guide. First impression is that the soundbar looks and feels like a high quality device with a solid feel and nice weight for it’s size. At 38” wide, it is smaller than top of the line soundbars, yet it is wide enough to look like it belongs in front of my 65” tv. At 2 1\2” high it will fit under many tv’s, but unfortunately it did not fit under mine. Inputs/outputs are minimal. There is 1 HDMI eARC, 1 optical, 1 audio port and 1 usb. Setup was as easy as any device I have ever used. Just connect the HDMI cable to the ARC/eARC port on your tv, plug in the power cable and you are ready to go. The soundbar has digital buttons on the top for power, input, Bluetooth and music. It has a center speaker, 2 side speakers and 2 sub speakers with side vents. It will process DTS-X and Atmos, however there are no up firing speakers. Instead Sony creates virtual speakers with its 360 Spacial Sound Mapping. The mapping takes just seconds and the results are quite impressive. Sound seems to come from all over your room. But in order to do this you must add a set of wireless rear speakers which are not included. The soundbar on its own is good. Dialogue is very clear and the remote has a voice enhancement button which emphasizes the dialogue even more. By itself the soundbar would be good for a bedroom or a small den. With the addition of the rear speakers and an optional subwoofer the soundbar now becomes more appropriate for a medium sized den or master bedroom. I have mine placed in our master bedroom where we have a 65” tv that we had barely used. Now that we have the Sony HT-A3000 installed, we are watching tv in there much more often. The HT-A3000 also had Chromecast built-in and works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, allowing you to use your voice to power the soundbar and to cast music. The remote is small, but it has buttons for inputs and voice enhancement, as well as separate volume controls for the rear speakers and subwoofer. There is one quirk . You can’t play music without the tv coming on. Then if you use the Sony remote to turn the soundbar off, the TV stays on. Overall, this is an excellent soundbar especially when adding the optional rear speakers and subwoofer. Movie soundtracks fill the room and music is outstanding. I would highly recommend this to anyone for a medium sized den or master bedroom.

Good Sound, Even Greater When Paired

    Reviewed by - September 11, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sony's latest soundbar, the A3000, adds a budget friendlier option to their range of audio soundbar products and is packed full of features including the ability to add additonal speakers from their line of wireless speakers and other geatures such as Alexa and Apple AirPlay 2. The A3000 soundbar comes with a setup manual, remote, 2.1 HDMI cable, and power cable. Setting it up was very easy; I connected the HDMI cable into the eARC port (more on why this is important below) and changed the audio setting on my TV to output the audio via external speakers. Viola! The sound began resounding from the 3 front firing speakers and the 2 built in subwoofers. Its low profile and slick look, in my personal opinion, would not detract from the look or personal tastes of those who are concerned about having a speaker out in front or below their TV. At least for me personally, my wife did not raise any concerns about the appearance of the TV stand after placing the soundbar on it. For audio, placement is important especially for the room you are in. Having the soundbar center towards it's viewers would be simple, although many soundbars aren't able to fill the room with audio. This wasn't the case with Sony's soundbar. Sound traveled throughout my large living room. Low end frequencies did sound a little muffled and background noise for scenes wasn't up to par for what I was expecting. After searching through settings and enabling the Sound Field feature, I was amazed with how well the A3000 sound changed. Although lows still lacked, details in the audio were more pronounced. It was able to push the explosive sounds from scenes in The Gray Man throughout my 13' x 20' living room. Dialogue was clear when listening to the news and sports broadcaster could be heard through the roaring crowds of soccer games. Music was vibrant and the sound of musical instruments really shined through the soundbar. With music in particular, I noticed that the soundbar leaned more towards producing soft lows and keener highs. Where the A3000 really shined was when enabling the Sound Field feature. This is used to produce a 3D type of sound, and it truly does; audio was fuller and details in scenes were more pronounced. Car honks, radio music, office chatter (examples of background noise in movies and shows) could be heard clearer when this option was enabled. In addition to this, for movies that had DTS:X and Dolby Atmos audio codecs I noticed the audio had more oomph and produced details that could be heard coming from different directions in the room. Through eARC, these audio codecs were able to be passed through to the soundbar to reproduce the effects of these audio codecs. eARC provides additional bandwith for these special audio codecs. Lastly, the soundbar has features for Alexa, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and the updated Apple AirPlay 2. All were tested and fuctioned well in my experience. It made it easier to play audio from my mobile devices and not have to bring out an aux to play audio from them. Another added bonus for the A30010 soundbar is the ability to add additonal wireless speakers and a wireless subwoofer. This is a big plus as many quality sound systems require for speaker wire to be run to connect multiple speakers in a system. After personally testing the two Sony RS3S bookshelf speakers and placing them in the rear, backside of the room facing listeners, I cam say that the surround sound quality is exceptional. Adding the SW3 subwoofer to the mix, it provided room shakening effects. In scenes where there was rain, I could hear the surround sound and made it feel like you were in the movie! In another scene when watching the kids movie Cars with my children, when the old town radio was playing in the background at Radiator Springs, I was amazed at how well the audio was reproduced and thought someone outside or in a latter part of the house was playing music! Although the soundbar already elevates the sound of movies and shows, adding the RS3S bookshelf speakers for surround sound and the SW3 subwoofer for additional bass thumping sound, takes audio to the next level. Now for the downsides. While the internal subwoofers in the soundbar are great additions to bring some bass into sequences, it does not replace an external subwoofer. The internal subwoofers do provide some oomf to explosive scenes but after owning several external subwoofers, the wall shakening effect isn't the same. Another downside is the inability to switch audio codec formats from the soundbar. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to music, movies, and shows with Sony's A3000 soundbar. It truly elevates the viewing experience and is much better than any audio TVs offer. I recommend the A3000 to those looking to elevate their audio and viewing experience. It is a great upgrade from TV audio and will notice the huge difference of what this soundbar can make.
