Works great, but…
- July 13, 2020I'm a huge fan of this dock, and have purchased two for my WFH set up. I use an Apple MBP with the USB-C ports, driving a 32-inch ViewSonic monitor. Brilliant all around. The problem is that the dock seems to fail when it gets hot -- around 2pm each day. I thought it was related to my laptop, but I have swapped out different laptops and have the same issue. Perhaps something faulty with these? I looked for firmware updates, but there was nothing listed for Macs. When it works, it is magic and wonderful, but having to unplug it from the external monitor (and keyboard, etc.) several times each day reduces its utility by a lot.

When it works, its fine. But rarely works.
- October 4, 2022I've used this docking station for almost two years now. When it does work, its fine. But I get a plethora of graphical issues if I ever disconnect and reconnect my laptop (even though its the main function of the device). It has issues constantly not recognizing monitors, giving me black screens. pixel jarring, I've had to work entire days with a single monitor because nothing I tried got it to recognize the second one (restarting, switching out cables, updating drivers, using a different workstation, NOTHING works). The PC constantly gives me popups that the "USB device not recognized" even thought it was recognized 10 minutes before. Honestly, I'd avoid this docking station if I were you.

Does not work with Macbook Pro 15 Mojave
- October 18, 2018Got it to connect to a Dell Displayport to my Macbook pro 15 running the latest Mojave OS. The power via USB-C works great. Unfortunately, nothing else does. The USB-C to Displayport is not recognized at all - the Macbook gives an error that the thunderbolt device is not supported. My display also has an HDMI in, so I used Apple original HDMI-USB-C adapter and still the same error. I then connect the display directly to the Macbook and it works flawlessly, including sending the power through the Apple adapter. So at this time, the dock is acting as a super-expensive power supply!

Makes me appreciate my Mac
- October 8, 2017Purchased to work with my HP Spectra x360 15in 2017. It does not work with two monitors out of the box with the supplied drivers. Windows 10 Pro 64 is up-to-date, computer is up-to-date with all Intel and HP updates.. I am waiting for a reply from technical support. Everything works perfectly when I plug in my Mac. So I know it is not a cable issue. It is my Windows 10 work computer I need it for. It works with 1 monitor attached. I can get two external monitors to work if I plug one into the computer's HDMI port, but that is not why I purchased it.

Amazing for Mac. *Verify your PC Hardware*
- September 15, 2017This docking station is just what I’ve been waiting for, something to free up my AC adapter and allow a one-cable connection for everything. While it didn’t work for my USB-C equipped Ultrabook (make sure your hardware has a Thunderbolt3 controller; if it doesn’t, then all you will get is power) it worked flawlessly with my MacBook Pro, no drivers to install, no issues whatsoever! Construction is what I’ve come to expect; solid and well built, connectors are sturdy and there is a generous power supply with all the international plug ends. My only comment would be that there are no power lights; not on the Power brick or the dock itself. But that is far from a complaint. This thing is awesome. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review

Great but...
- August 9, 2019I love the simplicity of this device. I plug in one USB-C connection on my Mac and it supports two monitors. Everything works as expected. I just have one complaint (let me know if you have a solution). When I plug it in in the morning, sometimes it ignores my screen organization. It will put my left screen image on the right monitor and my right screen image on the left monitor. I can usually fix it by unplugging it and plugging it back in, but I'd like the screens to just come up correctly all the time.

Power Supply is VERY noisy
- July 2, 2018Had this unit for a few months and all was well until I networked it with a few other computers in my studio. AWFUL noise and static/crackles/whining coming through my audio monitors. Started trouble shooting to narrow down the culprit and its the cheap power supply on this dock. If I switch to the supplied Apple power supply, all is golden but I have to plug all my devices straight into the MacBook Pro which defeats the purpose of the dock. If anyone has any ideas how to fix this PLEASE enlighten me!

Mostly good, but problem with ethernet
- November 29, 2018Use this with MacBook Pro 13 (2018 model). Everything works nicely except for ethernet. I get to choose Thunderbolt Ethernet on the Mac but do not get any IP nor can us it by assigning my own IP. My switch sees the device, and the hardware handshake is OK. (green light on) If I put an Apple USB->Ethernet dongle in the USB-port on the Dock the same ethernet-cable immediatly work on that connection. But on the internal ethernet on the Dock it does not. Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6

Displayport Does Not Stay Active
- April 18, 2022I was provided this dock by my company to handle the external monitors they provided. I am unable to use this with a DisplayPort cable from my monitor, the image becomes unstable. I am able to utilize an HDMI cable with an adapter but each day I have to unplug and replug the adapter. I have tried multiple different active adapters and they all have the same issue. So the dock works, but there are better docks out there for the same price point that function flawlessly.

Works pretty much as described
- October 25, 2019I've used this for over a year now with dual monitors connected to my MacBook Pro, and everything works as intended - the wired ethernet, dual monitors, power passthru at full charging speed, all on a single cable. My two minor issues with it: 1) The cable provided with it is about 2 inches too short for the orientation I want to use. I replaced it with a high-quality cable (note: cheap ones cause lots of problems, but I can't fault this dock for that). 2) The 1/8" audio jacks on the back work well (are detected as USB audio codec) EXCEPT the on-wire volume controls don't work, nor does the microphone on a single 4-connector 1/8" jack. The manual does explicitly refer to the headphone port as output only, but fixing this so it works as well as the MacBook's onboard jack (which supports both the controls and the mic) would be nice.
