Awesome lighting and super smooth !
- December 2, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’re loving this gaming keyboard by Apex ! The lightening on this keyboard is perfect everything is brightly lit and can see clearly in the darkest room. The apex 3 keyboard is smooth, super comfortable to game with even after hours of countless play and what’s even better is there is absolutely no lag when hitting on the keys. The handrest on this keyboard can easily be removed to maximize your space or reattached when needed so effortlessly, since it’s magnetized. If your an intermediate or noob gamer this keyboard is an absolute must have to add to your gaming Setup and makes gaming so much more fun having this apex 3.

Slick and cool keyboard.
- March 31, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setup was a snap. Plug and play and boom you are in. Quick function keys were easy to use. Also programing key entry was easy too. The keys are raised to accentuate the lighting which is really nice. The lights are bright and hot key functions are easy to use as well. Typing and game play are responsive. No lag. No sticking keys. Wrist rest magnet feature is nice. Easy on easy off. Only bad thing is if you move the keyboard the wrist rest will not follow like standard keyboards. I was too scared to try the water proof spill protection so I will take the word of it's water resistant rating. I would recommend this product. Nicely done.

Good Starter Keyboard
- March 29, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box, it's ready to plug and play with. It has really cool lighting effects that can be changed either on the board or through Steellseries software It's a membrane style keyboard with really good key travel and can be a little cumbersome for mechanical keyboard users. It comes with a wrist pad in the box, so that's a plus. I would recommend this board for starters that want some cool flare for their setup and not pay so much. Then there are the game console players. If you'd like to use a keyboard while gaming, this isn't a bad choice. Another nice feature is that it's splash resistant. So if you're gaming and happen to spill( I honestly recommend not drinking and gaming) it will hold up , if you take immediate action and clean it up. All in all, it's for novice. Still, it's a decent keyboard, but not for serious PC gamers. As always, here is the link to my full online review. If you can spare the extra scratch, pick up a better keyboard. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FgyUrkqHEnvyFTquuew-9z5G1ihW8MniBblscIHKmBQ/edit?usp=sharing

Great features
- December 4, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The key board has some additional cool capabilities that are not part of the normal keyboard. They have a volume roller on the top right side which rolls up and down depending on volume needs. There is one multimedia button that can be used for pause, play, forward and rewind. There is a profile switch key as well. There is a on the fly macro recording key. The keyboard is colorful, eye catchy ancestor bright.

what a nice keyboard! awesome lights, feels great
- July 9, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like a quiet keyboard. Even though this is a membrane keyboard it is reactive and soft and the magnetic palm rest is soft. This keyboard just feels good! i game first person shooters and the custom lighting is bright and has a ton of options. This is the best keyboard i have had. i cant imagine spending more or needing more! Get it! floating keys looks very futuristic

Nice keyboard
- March 14, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Apex 3 keyboard is really a nice touch to a gaming set up. Keyboard is a nice size, wider keys gives it ease to type without the clicking sound. The colors from the lights are spectacular. The magnetic wrist rest is a great addition to this keyboard. Overall this is a nice addition to the gaming experience.

Love the colors
- February 20, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not play games on my computer but i still love the keyboard. it came with a place to rest your wrists and it attaches very easily. It helps with the pain that comes from keeping your hands slightly elevated. I love how i can turn the brightness up and down for the colors on the keyboard. it’s so pretty and really brightens up the computer area. It works well with my apple computer. It has all the buttons you need to game on a pc but it’s also simple enough to have as a regular keyboard. If your looking for a gaming keyboard this would be great and if you just want a light up keyboard this is still great for that. The kids and adults love it

Super quiet typing!
- February 20, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been great being able to work at night without disturbing my family. The keys are super quiet and responsive. It did take some adjustment at first because of the additional key height, however. The customizable colors are fun and go great with the LED lighting in my office. I like that the included wrist pad is magnetic because it prevents it from slipping. The keyboard also does a great job at staying in place. It has a nice angle for typing and the three-way cable-guide made it easy for routing the USB cable on my desk. I have found the volume wheel to be my most used feature because I can quickly control the volume of music, videos, and Zoom calls whenever then phone rings or someone enters the room. I also have a habit of playing old sitcoms in the background while working, so the media button comes in handy for quickly playing and pausing without having to minimize my work. I've enjoyed changing the colors and creating macros in the software I downloaded from the manufacturer's website. This has been a good gaming and productive solution for my home office while providing pleasing aesthetics in the process.

Nice entry level keyboard with lighting options
- December 13, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Steelseries Apex 3 has the bells and whistles to look like a modern gaming keyboard but not all the underlying feel. I think its great for younger non hardcore audiences where the visual features are what matters. I would say it's a wonderful keyboard to give to younger teens who want to capture the looks and feel of the twitch streamer they idolize. But as someone who has been gaming for a few decades, it falls short on the expectations many older games have of a gaming keyboard. What it lacks is the feel of a spring-loaded switch that use to define what made gaming keyboards stand out from a standard office keyboard. It however does feel much more tactile than the standard generic dell rubber dome switch keyboard. On the flip side it keeps the benefits of being a non mechanical keyboard, which means the rubber dome switches are super quiet. If your kids share their room this keyboard allows one to type or game without annoying the living daylights of everyone else. The biggest thing most casual gamers expect out of a gaming keyboard these days is the RGB led options and this keyboard does deliver on that front. It has the ability to adjust brightness and set the entire keyboard to 1 solid color or even switch to a rainbow spectrum. You need to download the SteelSeries Engine software from their website to configure or make customizations to the lighting. The user can feel like he has the same type of lights as the pros you can see used at a pro gaming competition. I would say it is a great entry keyboard for someone who wants to say they have a gaming keyboard but isn't a keyboard enthusiast.
