    Solid SRPG

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 20 novembre 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stella Glow is a solid strategy RPG that combines a lot of gameplay mechanics from other games that I enjoy. Combat is in isometric view with things like turn order, facing, skills, and terrain type/terrain height coming in to play. There is no fast forward button though, which can make battles seem slow. Out of combat, there is a time management system where you manage time spent between increasing bonds with teammates, exploring for items, or doing jobs for money. The story is also great with many characters but it will take an hour or so before it gets rolling. A nice addition to a gamer's library if they enjoy a good story and SRPG combat.

    Great strategy game!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 29 mars 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, this is a nice game, but since Atlus games tend to lose value quickly, you should not buy it at $50. I bought it at $24 with GCU and I feel it's well worth it. This is a strategy game, but not like Fire Emblem or Advance Wars. It is more of a "Final Fantasy Tactic Advance" type. The graphics are nice and cute. I love the soundtrack. The difficulty is quite adaptable to me (I am a casual gamer). I haven't put much time in it yet, but it looks promising. Till this day, I have no idea what to use the cloth in the launch bundle on, so I put it back inside the box. My little sister love the key chain however.

Among the best RPGs available for the 3DS!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 20 août 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are so many excellent RPGs that you can play on the 3DS, with a number of them courtesy of the good people at Atlus. They have delivered another gem with strategy RPG Stella Glow. This game does everything so well. By this I mean a great story, characters, gameplay, and music. Stella Glow is an extremely satisfying total package of RPG goodness. I was expecting it to be good, but it turned out to be magnificent. The game is a little hard to come by now, but if you can find it for an acceptable price, I highly recommend that you scoop this one up, especially if you are an RPG junkie like I am.

    Cliched story with solid gameplay

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 26 mars 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stella Glow starts off with a paint by numbers setup. A hero with amnesia, a childhood friend with a secret power and a witch that's out to destroy the world starting with their small village. Thankfully the plot picks up after the initial setup and the characters are well written and memorable. As for the gameplay, the game has you control up to 7 units per map on a turn based strategy grid. Each character has their own specialties and you need to learn how to use them to their maximum potential. Visually the game has a bright and colorful art style but may be too cute for some. If you're looking for a fun strategy RPG or an alternative to Fire Emblem you should give this game a try.

Imageepoch's Last Game May be Their Best!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 24 novembre 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've loved this company for a long time. If you've played Luminous Arc 1 or 2, then you have an idea of what you're in for as Stella Glow is the spiritual successor to them. The story is good; while it plays of the usual tropes, it does a good job of sucking you in. Gameplay is solid; there aren't any gimmicky timing systems or QTEs here, just solid SRPG gameplay. The music is great, really serves to envoke the emotions each scene should, and I'm beyond impressed with how well done the voice acting is, especially for a 3DS game. It's too bad that this title may well have been able to save Imageepoch from bankruptcy but came too late. If you have a 3DS and loved older SRPGs, this is a must buy!

    Best jRPG in awhile.

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 26 mars 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I played this right after finishing up Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Stella Glow has gone completely under the radar. This game is one of the best jRPG's I've played in a long time. The story is great, the battle system is great (strategy rpg), the character development is great. It's like Fire Emblem on steroids, it does everything better. The only problem I have is that the battles are a little slow. It's not painfully slow, but compared to skipping all of the animations by holding down a single button in Fire Emblem, it's slow. Other than that, no complaints at all, AMAZING GAME.

    Solid strategy RPG

    Reviewed by - 10 février 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just finished this game! I actually enjoyed it a lot. The story starts predictable and the characters may seem cliched at first, but then the story starts taking its twists and turns and the characters get fleshed out. Regarding the battles and actual combat, the game starts very easy but eventually gets harder; although it's never overwhelming (there are always optional stages to level up those characters that start falling behind).Reminded me a lot of Luminous Arc, although I feel this game is more solid and better rounded (combat wise) than the aforementioned. May not be as challenging as other games (like the Fire Emblem series), but still it's quite an enjoyable game and the witches have a lot of personality.

    Amazing sleeper JRPG

    Reviewed by - 1 mars 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are a fan of JRPGs, Anime and Final Fantasy Tactics, then I highly recommend Stella Glow. Great story and replay value. As much as I want to leave a huge detailed review, I am afraid of posting spoilers. Let's just say when I thought the game was coming to an end, I was surprised and the twists and found myself actually only near the 1/2 way point. Multiple ending are fun to get (2nd playthrough). Easily invested over 100+ hours and not a dull moment. Story is a little linear but doesn't effect the solid gameplay.

    Stylin on Final Fantasy Tactics

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - 6 janvier 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The game looks pretty great and has tons of characters and skills to mess around with. The customization system also allows you to choose how each characters overall playstyle varies by giving status effects, attack boosts, evasion, etc making for a well rounded way to control your party. The story and characters are overall very fun, but the game uses a system where each chapter you have a limited amount of times to talk to everyone, meaning if you want to get all the content from everyone you must play the game atleast twice which I find rather annoying. The combat was fun enough though and the game not painfully long so I may consider replaying it some time in the future. If you are a fan of tactics rpgs and anime style storys this is a great choice to grab.

    Great strategy RPG

    Reviewed by - 13 janvier 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good strategy RPG with a lot of depth and a good storyline. It has cutscenes (not fully animated however) that tell the story as you play through the game. You can equip your characters with new weapons and armor, and other trinkets. You can even craft items in the game. I received my copy in the mail and unfortunately it came slightly damaged because they put it in a padded envelope instead of a box. The Launch Edition comes in a long lightweight cardboard sleeve style box with the items inside. The portion with the game is solid because of the game case, but the upper part that holds the cloth poster and keychain was slightly squashed. Not badly but it was still kind of annoying. I would greatly recommend this game and the Launch Edition extras were cool.
