Great family fun, easy to learn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife introduced me to this game as we've been playing more board games with our friends. Ticket to Ride is a fast paced strategy game that is very risk/reward based. The board is made up of major cities and there are train tracks printed in-between the cities. Major cities have multiple tracks, and smaller cities may only have one or two tracks. Each player has up to three goals in the beginning of the game that tells them which train tracks they have to connect (such as Seattle to Memphis). The strategy of the game is to complete the goals (in secret) and block other players from building their tracks. This was a great game to play with kids 6th grade and up.

    Fun game with semi-complicated scoring

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 13, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We played this over the holidays with family and really enjoyed how intricate it can get. The rules are a little confusing/complicated at first, particularly how they score it. So it takes a little while to get a hang of it, and more importantly how to strategize to win the game. What I enjoy about this game is that there is a lot of strategy involved in winning the game and you can continue to develop and improve your strategy as you play. Which means it's a game you can play a lot and justify it's semi-high price tag for the game.

    Highly Recommended

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - November 8, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not an avid gamer by any means, but this is one of the best board games I've played. The mechanics are super simple, but the level of strategy as well as tactics are more complex than it first appears. I believe this has great replayability despite being the "same" every game (vs. say deck building games like Dominion which is different every game). I don't have any expansions yet, but will likely add in the future.

Great Intro Strategy Game for the Family

    Reviewed by - July 19, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to introduce my nieces (8 and 11) to strategy board games. Great game thematically and enough strategy to keep entertained for a good number of play-throughs. I would recommend something more along the lines of Railways of the World by Eagle Games for more advanced gaming.

    Tricky Strategy Game

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 4, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an engaging game that takes quite a bit of strategy and thinking, plus a pretty big element of luck. Mastering it can take some time, but a beginner can still jump right in and enjoy. This game has lots of little pieces, so it isn't great for little kids.

    Comfortable, decent quality

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 27, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these headphones for my daughter who loves them. They weren't terribly expensive, but we didn't need the absolute best sound quality--just solid performance and durability. These delivered on both. Noise-cancelling is a nice feature to have as well.

    A Great Game, Very Addicting

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 13, 2018

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first saw this game, I thought it would be boring. Was I in for a pleasant surprise. It's one of those games that is different every time and challenges you. I am so happy that my wife bought us this game for Christmas. I would highly recommend it.

    Family Fun

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - October 19, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is easy to learn and fun for the whole family! Your child should be able to read well and have a decent understanding of the geography of the US. My ten year old is very capable of playing. We played with grandparents too. Everyone had fun!

    Fun family game

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - March 22, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love this game. We have ages 7, 10 and 13 and all can play. We sometimes have to help the 7 year old but she's definitely getting the hang of it. I wish the train cards and ticket cards were larger. A little difficult to shuffle.
