Quality
- November 13, 2007[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These DVD+R discs are truly the best around, I have yet to have a coaster! These DVD's also have an expensive feel to them which basically means they feel like they are well made and put together, some brands of recordable media have a very cheap feel to them and thus the top side where you write on chips away over time and (at least with cd-rs, not sure about dvds) incidentally that is where the data is stored so the disc becomes defective and useless, but not these, very solid discs! Basically just great and VERY affordable! They should be free though, just like everything else should be free! No? =-(

Reliable quality
- September 21, 2007[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never had a problem with these discs. Never made a coaster (or hover craft from my son's science kit). I have used generic ones at work, and about 15% of the time I have a problem. The Verbatims perform well, burn fast, and play reliably in other DVD drives and DVD players. These match well to my external Sony burner (830u). And the +R configuration is better than the -R because of its re-writing capability (but only write once) and improved error handling. I have no complaints, but I will not give 5 stars because I have not yet had a chance to evaluate long term reliability with these. Wait for these to go on sale (under fifteen) and stock up. Highly recommended. 4.25 stars.

Rated Better than Sony
- February 5, 2008[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Sony dvd+r for years and averaged about 8X Recordings and 9 min to burn a disc. I bought these Dvds because of the reviews and the price and I must say I am sticking with these from now on. I get true 16X Recordings and less than 5 min. to burn. These discs read instantly in both dvd players. Sony I sometimes had to eject several times to get them to recognize. Also these discs are stiffer than most and seem to be more durable. If your reading this for inspiration then this is the one I would recommend for you. I hope you have the same results......

Cheap and Effective
- February 2, 2010[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use dvd disc very often and have spent a fortune on them in the past. Then I saw these on Best Buy online. They weren't "cheap" but they were definitely a lower price then I have paid in the past. Cheap, especially when it comes to most things, means poorer quality. However, after working with these discs for a bit, I've found no difference between them and any others. They have the same save space, saving speed (which depends mostly on your computer anyway), looks, etc. I'm very satisifed with these dvd discs and will probably invest my money in them again.

Most reliable media out there
- September 12, 2007[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After disappointing results with both off brand (such as store brand) and other major brand media, Verbatim is one of only two or three brands of DVD blank media I will buy. I have always had consistently excellent results whether burning a data-only disc for computer use or video for playback on my Sony DVD player. Other brands either burn poorly for DVD playback or degrade over time. Verbatim only sells discs made by one of the top quality manufacturers of blank media.

Very Good DVDs
- July 12, 2008[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have Ran out of HD space and needed to back up alot of data and because dvds dont hold as much your going to need alot of them so if you figure 100 pack spindle cost you 30 to 40 bucks and these are 10.99 a pack it will cost you like 21 bucks. good value vs 100 pack! Second With DVD +R they are compatable with basicly every platform. I recomend this brand alot they are durable and the quality is exelent. good buy vs price= happy customer

Never worked neither on my DVD nor the PS3
- March 24, 2010[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've burned 5 of this Verbatim DVDs but when I tried to play them on my DVD and the PS3, none of the DVDs worked. I've spent hours trying to figure out if it's an issue with the software or the burner, 2 days ago I burned a Philips DVD and worked great, now I've tried with one of my last Sony DVD-DL and it works perfect. Maybe I was so unlucky to get a BAD quality batch, but will never buy Verbatim products again.

Good DVD
- January 20, 2012[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used these dvds for years and never had any real issues i find them to work about 99% but also say i had that with other brands so i mostly just go after the better sale price between sony or these and recently been using the HP brand with same results for a few dollars less so its all about if you care about name brand or if you care how the dvd looks ... for long term i think the are all about the same

You'll love these!
- September 9, 2007[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always found Verbatim blank media to be reliable and that's definitely the case with their 50 pack DVD+R's. I have used these for years and RARELY have a coaster. (I can say that about other brands.) Transfer is clean and audio is clear. Verbatim may cost a little more than other brands, but the difference in quality and reliability is worth the extra pennies per DVD. You won't be disappointed!
