- Great Drive for the Money- April 26, 2018
I purchased this drive as replacement for the three 250GB drives (setup in a RAID 0 Array) in the rebuild of my existing PC. I've been using it for a while now and have had absolutely 0 issues with the drive. I will admit the first drive I received (I had it shipped) did fail on me (more than likely shipping damage as the drive was improperly packaged when it shipped), but the 2nd one has had absolutely 0 issues. I've been using Western Digital drives for a number of years now (well over 15+ years) and have never had a problem with them. Their warranty service is top notch and their drives have a solid build quality.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Lots of storage for videos and music- July 18, 2020
Whatever the reason you need lots of storage, from games to videos, to music you can trust Western Digital to keep your data safe. I've been using WD storage for over 30 years and they've never let me down as other hard drive manufacturers have. I remember when WD floppy discs were the main storage media. Back then a hard drive with a 40GB capacity would cost a customer over two hundred dollars! Now we can buy a 4TB HD for less than $100. That's progress! Nothing else seems to go down in price as technology does. Believe me, 30 years from now you'll look back and wonder how you survived with just 4 terabytes capacity and your kids will wonder what the heck a disk drive was...Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Took a chance and came out Happy- January 6, 2018
For the record, I'm a Seagate user, I've used Seagate since before IDE hard drives. I wanted a 4 TB hard drive internal for my secondary drive that I could work on. I do Photography and working from a Network drive is extremely slow. I've been hearing some very good things about Western Digital so I though I'd go ahead and purchase this one. I must admit it has met all of my expectations, it's fast, quiet and hasn't faltered a bit. I'm transferring most of my images over and I've now transffered over 2TB, it hasn't gotten hot and it works like a champ. I'm really happy I purchased it .Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
