Not the product that represents the brand.
- November 9, 2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this Fridge with my New Construction home, I have always love the brand, in this case only this reference has not mee the expectation the brand has created in me, lot of plastic components, ice dispenser is getting stuck with couple of drops, having to empty it so it can work, space is also limited, coming from a basic fridge with freezer on top and fridge below I though this one was going to be lot more roomie but not necessarily, specially on the freezer side. I know there is a lot more options to chose from, in this case was not my option to select the reference, was the one that came with the house so, I may be getting a new one.

A new refrigerator should not need maintenance
- February 19, 2026[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase a brand new house November 26th night 2025. My refrigerator never worked, The builders would not help me. They told me to call Whirlpool. I contacted Whirlpool. I was on the phone for 2 hours then they sent me to someone who would not come out. My refrigerator was not fixed until January of this year so I had a refrigerator that did not work. No one would give me a replacement. I am very disappointed and I still want a replacement. Like I was told a new refrigerator should not need work on it. I should not have had to call maintenance for a new refrigerator, so I know I'm going to have more issues out of the refrigerator

Was worried about noise, pleasantly surprised
- May 13, 2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I researched refrigerators extensively before purchasing. I almost didn’t buy this one because several people complained about it being too noisy. My previous refrigerator must have been extremely noisy, because this one is more quiet. The ice maker does not generate a ton of ice, but it has been more than sufficient for my family of 5 (with kids that love crushed ice). The only real knock I have is the water dispenser is too far forward, if you don’t wait a second after dispensing it will dribble down the front. It is not a big deal as we have already gotten acclimated to it. I’m very pleased with the value of this purchase.

Not good build quality
- February 12, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this as part of new construction. The main refrigerator side door has shelves that are made of plastic (which is okay) but its very cheap plastic. But the problem is that the door is such that often when I am closing it, I get hold of one of the shelves and close the door. The shelves don't stick to the side door well and come out easily. We have broken 2 of the shelves within the first month just because they fell when they come out of the side door and crack easily. Extremely poor shelf material quality. We also had a huge issue of the ice maker not defrosting automatically, which caused cooling to fail. However, whirlpool was quick to fix it.

Solid fridge
- August 6, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had the fridge for a couple of weeks. It was of the few side by sides with a good energy rating. I appreciate the ergonomics of the water/ice dispenser as it is less likely to throw ice on the floor & spray water everywhere, like my last one. A small thing is that you can easily see where the water is emerging from and it is coming out straight down. These 2 factors make it simpler to position your glass correctly. Our last one was hidden from easy viewing in a dark recess and seemed to spray at a 45°angle. My only criticism is that the number of shelves and bins is marginal, but easily remedied.

Cheapest Fridge the Home Builder Could Find
- April 30, 2024[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fridge came with the newly constructed home. It would not have been my first, or even my 5th choice. Small capacity, loud when compressor is running, and narrow ice/water dispenser make this fridge a poor choice. Functionally it works well and does it's job. The ice/water dispenser is very poorly designed and tends to spray water all over the floor if your glass is not exactly lined up. There is no capacity to hold overflow water in the tray underneath the dispenser and any overflow water ends up running down the door of the fridge to the floor which necessitates a mat underneath to catch the water.

Works fine, but...
- July 23, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this for 3 weeks and so far works fine. This was part of the package of appliances that our builder put in. It has some design features that would stop me from purchasing again. First there is one lever to get ice out of the door. It is below the lever you puch to get water. Very poorly designed. Difficult to get the ice out without hitting the water lever. Water gets all over. Plus there is no drain or catch basin to catch excess water so it is constantly dripping down the front of the unit.. Second, there are too many drawers and not enough shelves in the refigerator section.

Loud and cheap
- December 19, 2025[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loud and froze up so it was replaced. Better but still noisy. So aMErika we built a refrigerator a 100 years ago that lasted over 30 to 40 years and this is who we are today. Engineers are either ignorant compared to the engineers of 1900s or they are willing to design garbage and rip people off then make great products or even good products. The aMErikan way so awesome lol Whirlpool said they would send another warranty person out, but I’ve taken several days off and lost more money than this thing even worse so I probably won’t even proceed unless it gets worse pretty sad and pathetic
