    Average dryer, nothing exciting

    Reviewed by - December 10, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dryer has been a disappointment so far. I replaced an old Whirlpool washer and dryer set I had for twenty years. I had high hopes for the new dryer. I have used the sensory setting and each time they were still wet items in the dryer when the timer went off. If I use the timed setting as I had on the old set, all the clothes were dry. It's disappointing that the features I were attracted to don't work well. The alarm notifying you when the driver goes off is not very loud even in the loudest setting. This is OK if you're in the room with the dryer when it goes off, but when a different room, you don't hear it.

    Horrible

    Reviewed by - October 11, 2024

I have had this dryer and washer combination for almost 2 years the dryer. I am so disappointed in it. I have been a long time whirlpool customer I have had it worked on immediately after only using it two weeks and everything replaced on it and it still doesn’t work correctly. It is so temperamental the only way I can get my clothes to dry is if I put it on a timed dry none of the cycle settings work, I don’t wanna give it any stars . True disappointment, my 25 year-old whirlpool dryer works better.

    Not happy

    Reviewed by - December 21, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The electronic keyboard panel is absolutely awful. Only had to weeks and have to push buttons numerous times. The steam button feature rarely works. I am goiimg to insist they replace it. Many times the clothes aren’t dry with any sensor settings even on “most dry” option. My 20 year old Kenmore (Whirlpool) worked better but unfortunately did not have part to repair. The controls are not intuitive in any way. 321 countdown to start is the most ignorant thing. I’m disappointed especially for the cost. Whirlpool needs to step it up for appliances that are this expensive. It’s not like the dryer was a low end model.

    So Far, So Good

    Reviewed by - November 14, 2019

Our first Whirlpool Duets were purchased in September of 2003. They both started acting up at the same time, but were used a lot with a family of 5 for 16 years. First decision another Whirlpool. Second decision, larger size. We purchased the pair W/D with no WiFi. This dryer is gas, and works amazing. It runs in half the time as the old duets. We have not used the steam cycle yet. Make sure you get a steam kit for your dryer.

The drum makes a loud rumbling sound.

    Reviewed by - November 26, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Eco feature makes drying too long a process and does not completely dry all items. Each time the dryer is turned on we turn off the eco feature so the heating effect comes right on instead of after 20 minutes. The right rear side of the enclosure gets so hot it can’t be touched , We measured 168 degrees F on the surface of the right rear side of the enclosure when in the mid range temperature setting.

    DRYER DOESN'T DRY

    Reviewed by - July 7, 2020

I just installed this. It is brand new. Several rounds of wash/dry cycles, all yield the same result: DAMP CLOTHES. To get clothes dry, it takes a minimum of THREE FULL ROUNDS of drying. What's the point of high efficiency if you have to run the dryer 3x you would another dryer? And yes, I un-selected the "eco-boost" to little avail. I'm sorry I wasted so much money on this machine, and I even selected a gas dryer because they were supposed to dry even faster. And did my homework and this one is supposed to dry well. NOT SO. I'm extremely disappointed my brand new machine is such a disappointment.

    Doesn't dry comlpetely

    Reviewed by - April 6, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not satisfied with the performance of this dryer. Our vent was cleaned last fall, but the clothes never seem to dry completely. Also, the EcoBoost mode defaults to the on state for every regular cycle and we need to turn if off every time we power up the dryer. EcoBoost uses less natural gas and runs the drying cycle about twice as long using twice the amount of electricity to turn the drum. That doesn't seem very ecological or convenient. I wish I could turn it off by default, but Samsung doesn't allow the customer to make that choice, so next time we will choose a different brand.

Dryer trips off leaving cloths wet

    Reviewed by - November 17, 2025

My washer and dryer were delivered and installed less than two weeks ago, and now I cannot dry my clothes. The dryer suddenly started tripping off without drying the clothes or completing the selected cycle. The truth is that it only runs for about 5 minutes, and then it trips off. Within that 5 minutes, it makes several pop and puff sounds before going off. I am frustrated because this is brand brand brand new and rarely used. Who knows what the problem could be? Unfortunately I do not have a youtube video but I have one on my computer but there is no link to upload such.

Dryer Stops Working and Smells Burnt

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - July 6, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought this washer three days ago and since day 1 it started smelling burnt and the dryer kept giving error F3 E3. I have a bunch of wet clothes that I cannot dry because the dryer stops the cycle.
