[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this freezer as part of a kitchen remodel project that included a refrigerator, range, microwave and dishwasher - all Whirlpool products. Due an error on the part of Grand Appliance, the ice maker for the freezer was not installed at the factory. When it was finally installed it did not work properly and is scheduled for replacement "some time in September". The unit was delivered along with all the other appliances on the 29th of July and still no ice maker replacement. As you can see from the picture, the ice maker is half full of frozen water. I am very disappointed in Whirlpool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the freezer a few months ago and had it installed a few weeks ago. So we have only been using it a few weeks. So far we are happy with it, but we can’t really comment on reliability or durability until a few months and years into it. One thing I can ssay is that it did not come with an ice maker, which seemed odd to me since it is a freezer, so we purchased the ice maker separately. We had originally chosen a different side by side manufacturer, but due to chain supply delays it was unavailable, so settled for this one. The one we had chosen, had an ice maker and other nice feature this one does not. We will see how it works for us.

My wife and I recently bought a house and purchased the refrigerator and freezer sidekick combo. Within the first year the refrigerator had to be repaired 2x. Here we are now at year 2.5 and my freezer has now stopped working and the part needed to repair it is discontinued. Luckily a few months back I purchased an extended warranty because the insurance company called me last week to let me know that I am being given about half the value of my freezer back and that I am going to need to purchase a new freezer. We have been very displeased with the Whirlpool sidekicks that we purchased 2.5 years ago to say the least.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It keeps thing cold and looks nice. It fits in my custom designed kitchen. It replaced a previous Whirlpool that leaked constantly and continually had a large amount of ice accumulating below the bottom rack. Nothing else fit in the kitchen without paying thousands to have cabinets and counter redesigned to fit new appliance. The new configuration is NOT good. Fewer shelves on the door. I liked the shelves to hold butter, boxes and plastic containers of vegetables. You added a bin and removed a shelf. Bins are terrible. I am constantly shuffling things to find what I want. I like things neat and stacked not thrown in bins. We are a family of chefs (graduated from culinary school) .

Disappointed in the modifications to both 30" Sidekick freezer and fridge vs the older model from 2004 or there about. The older model was well made with split adjustable shelves almost the length of the door for both freezer and fridge. Love the glass shelves and the fact that this still has the split adjustable sheves, but there are fewer. That flat wire box holder at the bottom of the freezer door is not useful to us yet because we are not a frozen pizza family. Have to figure out another use. This product was far superior to others in the same size range before in design and reliability and is now average with poor ratings for reliability. Hope Whirlpool will listen to your former customers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really pleased with this purchase. The only place for our previous freezer was the garage. It worked well enough but with the hot Arizona weather, it ran at times continually. A few years back we had purchased a Stainless Steel finish Whirlpool fridge and we placed it adjacent to the kitchen where it served as a cold drink fridge and matched beautifully with our Whirlpool side by side (same finish). We decided to replace the old freezer and found this version matching perfectly with our cold drink fridge. Now that our freezer is indoors it nowhere near runs as often. Also being newer technology it was far more efficient. Shelving and storage space is perfect and it is very quiet. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially purchased in August 2023, defective as ice maker wire harness buried behind rear panel, replacement 4 months later also defective, final replacement will not connect to recommended ice maker which I purchased, after almost 8 months and several trips to the store and 12 phone calls, I was told the freezer was not built for an ice maker, this is after I had spent quite a bit of money and time building the surrounding cabinets to fit. I am now stuck with a freezer without an ice maker. Keep in mind this was sold as advertised with the ability to hook up to an ice maker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second whirlpool Sidekick. The last one was 18 years old. The refrigerator went out and needed new ones that matched. So far both are working very well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this along with the matching All-Fridge and trim kit. This system creates a very high-end look at a reasonable price. Overall, it's a great value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This side kick freezer replaced our previous side kick freezer that IAN flooded. We are happily using it and enjoying it.
