- Far superior to the off-brand versions- November 19, 2020
Works as expected. Far superior to the off-brand versions, the Microsoft play and charge kit came with 1 battery and 1 charging cable. I've bought multiple off-brand battery packs and charging cables. They are never the same quality and durability as Microsoft branded ones. Usually, the charging cable is the first to go... Either it develops a short over time, or one of the prongs bend. Then, shortly after noticed the off-brand batteries start to lose capacity... Often to the point, they must be kept plugged in. I have experienced none of these problems with Microsoft brand play and charge kit. The quality is well worth the added price.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- New gen battery, fully compatible with old acc's- November 12, 2020
This is designed for the new controllers that come with the Series X/S. It works in my older controllers as well, just keep in mind the USB C cable will only charge the newer controllers. One thing to note: there is no charge indicator light on this cable, like there was on the last gen battery kit. I don't personally care, just wanted to include that just in case you're expecting it. The new controllers also work on the older Xbox, everything seems to be very compatible. That's good for me because I have a lot of last gen controllers and battery packs, and this new battery fits right in without any drama. Doesn't matter if it gets mixed up with the others.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Works good for the Xbox Series X controller. It's better than buying batteries. Keeps the controller charged like it should via the usb c cable. The only downside is it doesn't come with a ac adapter to plug it into a wall outlet. But the usb does the job keeping the battery charged. It looks like it would fit in the Xbox One controller and it might but the USB C cable does not fit the Xbox One controller so you would have to have your own cable to charge it so if you are looking to charge an Xbox One controller I would not recommend this as there are specific Xbox One batteries but for the Series X controller this is great.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Worth the buy!- December 6, 2020
I will say I was little angry that my Xbox One Play and Charge kit wouldn’t work for my Xbox Series X because of the different USB cable. I’m pretty sure I didn’t hear about the cable changing although I could’ve overlooked it. Anyway, this Play and Charge kit works just like any other. The cable is long enough to plug in while you relax and play. There isn’t a light on the USB cable to show that the controller is charging or when it’s completely done charging though. I have to press the home button to see the battery icon in order to know when to stop charging the battery pack while I play. It’s way better than buying a 24 pack of batteries a week for the amount of gaming I do.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Long lasting charge...great for plenty of gaming- April 17, 2021
This helps you avoid having to keep plugging AA batteries into your Series X controller. The box it comes in is very small so don’t be alarmed by how tiny the package is. It takes about 4 hours to charge the controller. You’ll know it’s charging when the controller slightly vibrates when you plug in to a USB port. I use my PC’s port and it works great. The only negative is there’s no indicator light to let you know if it’s fully charged but it takes about 4 hours to charge a controller so either keep your eye on the clock or just leave it overnight. Say goodbye to AA batteries for your Series X gaming!Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
