MacBook Air: Thin, Light, and Productive

When Apple's Steve Jobs announced the original MacBook Air in 2008 by pulling it out of a yellow manila envelope, the company effectively established a new category of laptop computers. These ultra-thin, ultra-portable, and fully productive machines made it easier than ever to get things done on the go, and look good doing it.

In 2018 Apple refreshed the MacBook Air line, increasing its capabilities and giving it new features while retaining the signature slim profile. Apple also discontinued the MacBook Air 11-inch model, moving forward with the 13-inch form factor. In 2020, a revolutionary new MacBook Air was released. It features the same form factor, but gets the new and improved Magic Keyboard and drops Intel CPUs in favor of Apple’s own M1 processor.

    So Thin and So Stylish

The sleek, iconic, aluminum wedge design of the Apple MacBook Air instantly identifies it as a machine designed for both portability and style. At its thickest point it's only 1.61 cm, and it tapers off to an amazingly thin 0.41 cm. With a form factor this slim, you can see how easy it is to slip this amazingly stylish laptop into your bag as you head out the door.

Retina Display: Don't Forget to Blink

The MacBook Air's 13.3" Retina display has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. That’s two times as many pixels as a Full HD screen, providing razor-sharp clarity for images, videos, text, and games. The IPS panel is bright at 400 nits, and features P3 wide colour support with Apple True Tone for colour accuracy.

Touch ID: Tap into a New Level of Convenience

The MacBook Air comes with a dedicated Touch ID sensor, which lets you use your fingerprint to unlock the laptop or use Apple Pay to make purchases online. Just touch the sensor and watch the magic happen.

    Power and Productivity

Packed with Apple’s powerful new M1 processor, up to 16GB of unified memory, and up to 2TB of SSD storage, the MacBook Air gives you the performance you need to browse your favourite sites, create presentations, and edit videos in iMovie. Dual USB-C ports support Thunderbolt, USB 4, and power. Video conference with confidence thanks to the MacBook Air’s lightning-fast Wi-Fi 6, integrated FaceTime HD camera, three-microphone array with beamforming, and stereo speakers.

The MacBook Air delivers up to 15 hours of battery life when web browsing (up to 18 hours of video playback), so it will get you through your workday and into the evening as well.
