What is the Tile Pro?

Tile Pro is a Bluetooth tracker that can be attached to a keychain or lanyard to keep tabs on the location of valuable items. It works with the Tile app so you can view a map of where the device is and “ring” it if it’s within Bluetooth range.

When out of Bluetooth range, Tile Pro works using the network of Tile users from around the world. If you left your keys at a restaurant and other Tile users are nearby with Bluetooth on, their devices will pick up your item’s location and you can see it in the app.

Tile Pro works in reverse, too: if you can’t remember where you put your phone, double press the Tile. As long as the phone is within Bluetooth range, it will ring the device, even if it’s on silent, so you can locate it.

What is the difference between the Tile Mate and the Tile Pro?

The Tile Pro and Mate employ a similar square-shaped design. The main difference is that the Tile Pro works within a wider Bluetooth range of 400 feet versus 200 feet for the Mate. It also offers the loudest ring and has undergone rigorous testing to ensure durability.

The Tile Pro replaceable battery is a CR2032 (standard watch battery) that lasts for about a year; the Mate uses a smaller CR1632 battery. The Pro is also slightly bigger than the Mate in size at 42 x 42 x 6.5mm versus 35 x 35 x 6.2mm.

Both are water-resistant and are equally easy to activate: download the app, select Tile Pro, and your phone will search for the device (you might need to tap the Tile’s button so it can be seen). Give the Tile Pro a name, like “Car Keys” or “Camera,” and you’re done!

What are the key advantages of the Tile Pro?

The key advantages with the Tile Pro include the durable design so you can use it on or with items you take with you every day. The water-resistant design means it won’t stop working, even if you left your keys or purse out in the rain.
