★ Jazz Detective is a new label created by Zev Feldman in Jazz world, Indie Jones and Blue Note records. The first edition to commemorate is a valuable live sound source recorded in Seattle in the 1960s.
★ Armad Jamal, born in 1930, is one of the true Jazz Piano masters. The episode of Miles Davis is is famous for its pianist. Vol.1 was featured in 1963 and 1964, Vol.2 in 1965 and 1966 in Seattle "Penthouse Jazz Club". The recordings of this two works were found from a series of sound sources that were lively broadcast to the KING-FM program where Jim Wilk hosts from 1963 to 1968. At that time, Charlie Putzo Senior was able to provide all the equipment needed for recording in the store and leave such great records. Charlie Putzo, the son of Charlie Putzo, Jr, was passionate about managing the vast tape archives left in the store, and from which the precious recordings were discovered by Zev Feldman and first to see the Sun's eyes.
★Jamal's first stepped into the Seattle Penthouse Jazz Club in 1963, and later became a regular star of the club. This 2 piece is a trio featuring Basist's Richard Evans and Jamill Nasser, and Drummer Chuck Lampkin. You can play the familiar standard songs and enjoy the unique piano touch of jamal's unique piano with the audience of the club at the time.
