[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You must download the Alexa app, must have an existing account or make a new one. Then set it up and use WiFi. After the setup, you can play music. You can have your own grocery list, playlist and much more for lists. You can have Shopify, pandora and many more for listening to music but you have to connect to your account. It’s a very advance piece of technology. I love using it for music, and my lists that I have. Very easy to use, all you have to say is “Alexa” then whatever you want to do. Alexa is my favorite of all, I definitely need one in my bathrooms and kitchen. The do come in handy. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for one!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome smart device for the whole family. We can ask alexa questions all day. Adding routines will tell you what the current weather is, your traffic commute to work and also gives you the best route to take,daily local news and plays your music subscription or favorite podcast. I recently connected it to my Roku tv an now I can tell her to play netflix and it automatically turns on my tv. There is still so much learning with this device that I'm excited to see what all this thing is capable of doing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Amazon echo 4 is very nice, you can ask many questions and Alexa will give you the answers, also I control lights, smart air conditioners, play music, listen news, weather and more with my voice as long the device works with Alexa of course. I really like it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first Echo anything (I also got a smart bulb to try out). The lavender color is unique and absolutely beautiful. The Echo fits perfectly on my kitchen counter in an unobtrusive, yet adorable fashion! I’m still getting to know Alexa, but so far it’s been a blast discovering the things she can do. The Echo Pop speaker at half volume fills my kitchen with high quality sound (I like to play music while cooking), which is impressive, especially given the size! My whole family is in on the action now, having added their profiles and voice recognition, and my daughter wants one for her room as well, so I guess that will be another purchase. It was fun and easy setting things up initially…even the old salty veteran warmed up to things (after first complaining about AI). He now asks Alexa daily about the weather and news for the day. The app is easy to use and integrated my Echo Pop, smart bulb, and two Fire TV’s easily. No issues with delays, the device and Alexa work perfectly together with zero lag or connectivity problems. I love putting routines in the app for the different devices. Looking forward to new updates and adding more devices to the home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 4th Generation Amazon Echo is a great addition to any room! I love the modern design, it can fit on any table, counter or shelf. The cord is pretty long which is a nice bonus if your outlet isn't right by the device. The sounds is top notch! You definitely get a nice balanced mix of sound all over the room the device is in. There are so many things that Alexa can do now, including pairing your smart devices with Alexa. This past Christmas, we really enjoyed having our Christmas tree plugged into the smart plug so we just asked our Amazon Echo to turn our tree on for us. My kids really enjoy asking Alexa to tell them a joke or to play a silly song. You can even add a kids feature to your Amazon Echo to make it kid friendly which is definitely a bonus feature if you have children. You can make calls from your Echo or ask Alexa to order you things from Amazon. I love getting notifications from Alexa that I might be running low on something that I order regularly and she will ask me if I want her to order that item for me. Treat your self this new year to the 4th generation Amazon Echo or give it to someone as a present, either way, it's a win/win for you and the receiver of the gift!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Alexa and this is my second, I would give it 5 stars across except for this weird coincidence.I have it and our tv in the living area. The voice quality on FOX and OAN gets corrupted often on our tv, never on other stations. I noticed that when that happens Alexa is uninvited and her snooping lights are on. It just happened and I went and disconnected the power supply on Alexa and amazingly the voice was restored and crystal clear on FOX What the hec?!?!?! Posted this is case it is happening to others. Until I figure this out the app is turned off and Alexa is disconnected. She will be reconnected when I want to listen to music.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prior to getting this Amazon Echo 4th generation, we had the Echo Dot. The Echo’s sound quality is top-notch and it is also very sleek, albeit larger. It is quite easy and fast to set up. It detected my other Fire-sticks rather quickly. We also connected our Ring Alarm, Nest Thermostat, our smart bulbs and an Amazon Smart Plug we just got. So now we only have the Alexa app to control these devices instead of several apps! Aside from the ability to play crisp sounding music, there is so much more that this Echo can do such as schedule alarms, set timers, play games. The smart plug was easy to sync with the Echo on the Alexa app and you can name it whatever you wish. We used it to connect our Christmas Tree, fireplace lights and the train set under the tree. All we need to do it say “Alexa, turn on Christmas Tree” and all these turn on! It simplifies turning on/off these lights. I want to get more of these smart outlets to use with our window candle lights. So instead of turning on all 10 lights individually, all I would need to do is say “Alexa, turn window lights on.” This is a game changer since we light our candle lights year-round. Additionally, to manually control these lights or set a schedule from the Alexa app, when we are away, adds a level of security plus it’s nice to come home to a lit house. The only cons which I noted were Alexa’s inconsistent response to commands. Sometimes Alexa responds immediately and other times I need to repeat “Alexa” a few times with a loud voice for the command to be followed. Also, the white power cord is not aesthetic as our Echo is black. Otherwise, this device is a must have not only for a quality speaker but to control a variety of smart devices which many households may have. We use it through each day. My wife says “Alexa” feels like a family member and amazes us when she recognizes our voices!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great sound from a device that offers a lot of functionality for under $100. I have several Echo products throughout my house that I have used to create a whole home audio setup. The days of having to retrofit in ceiling speakers or forking out tons of money for Sonos are coming to an end. Also adding in a smartphone hub furthers the value of this device. It’s a really impressive value. I like the sphere shape too. Looks contemporary and matches my home’s decor quite nicely. Software isn’t perfect and voice control can be hit or miss, but that is more on the backend for all Amazon products, not a knock on this Echo.
