Bitdefender has a long history of accolades from market-leading independent testing firms and technology publications that attest to its superior abilities for detecting and stopping threats like ransomware, phishing, malicious links, drive-by-downloads, and more. In addition to earning Product of the Year five times from AV-Comparatives, the company most recently was awarded the PC Mag Reader’s Choice 2023 award for Home Security Suites.Both PC Magazine and tech radar reported that in there tests, Bit defender had a perfect score in anti virus testing. (Dec.2023) Iobit advanced system pro 17 uses the Bit defender engine for it's anti virus.

Bought this subscription on sale for $20 covering 10 devices. Can't beat that, especially when Bitdefender's own website doesn't offer anything close to this. I bought last year's subscription directly from Bitdefender for a discounted cost of $35, covering 5 devices. Their renewal discount for this year cost $50. I haven't use Norton or other security products for a long time, but to me, Bitdefender's user interface, all around malware and anti-virus coverage is solid. Haven't had any breaches on any of the devices the software is installed on since I started using Bitdefender 3 years ago.

After installing this, it slowed my computer down to a crawl--taking five minutes for booting up. it also extended loading times for web pages. This package also lacks features found in other premium security packages [such as website blocking] unless one logs into their website and then routes all traffic through their servers. The VPN is a joke--and not a very funny one at that. It continually tries to hijack my browser to route traffic through BitDefender's crappy superslow servers. Basically, this is spyware and malware being marketed as security software. I would sooner have a colonoscopy without the benefit of anesthesia than ever use this software again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was told to buy this product because I had a bad virus on my computer and this would fix it. The Geek Squad is usually very good. In the end I did not need this product as I had no virus and when Windows did an update that morning it messed up my computer. After several different techs, my problem was resolved. I'm sure the product is well worth the money but, in my case I did not need it and if everything goes accordingly, I was told my credit card should be reimbursed. I wouldn't be without the Geek Squad.

I could not even shut down my computer, Bitdefender would not let me do even that. I deleted it from my computer, Bitdefender promised to refund my money, but Best Buy refused to refund, my money, so I lost. If you do not know it do not buy it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Bitdefender Total Security for the past 4 plus years and as I like the handling of security for the PCs, this time purchased for a 10 Device (1 Yr) though I may install only on 7 items (for entire family's gadgets). This is true testament how I like the interface, timely updates on threats, blocking unwanted links and so on. I certainly would say it's worth for the money spent. I highly recommend this product to others

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Security - there is an anti-theft tab you can select that lists your Bitdefender Total Security devices. If your computer(s) and/or phone gets stolen you can use the anti-theft to locate your item(s) down to a street address and IP address for your local police. I bought this package for the anti-virus (which works great!) and didn't know about the anti-theft aspect until today. The police are on their way to the local street address where my stolen laptop is now being used! I hope they can recover it or have enough information from Bitdefender to do a search warrant. I thought the anti-virus was great, but the anti-theft aspect is the real hidden gem. I wish I had known about that the day my stuff was stolen. Learn from my mistake. Register your phone and computer(s) with this and if they get stolen use the information to help the police get your stuff back. AAA+++!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a Norton fan for more than 10 years. I decided i wanted something less invasive and that is what i got. Bitdefender does the job without the bloatware Norton now contains. The VPN works well as does remote handling when something goes wrong at home and i cant be there to fix it in person. Most things can be done with the app. Second year using it and will buy again for next year.

I read the reviews from trusted sources every year to ascertain if any other product is better. Bitdefender is always listed as excellent and has proven to be so in my use. I have not found any other product I trust more than Bitdefender.
