What customers are saying

The game features intense, fast-paced combat that emphasizes offense over defense, with players wielding a combination of melee weapons and firearms. Exploration is a key part of the experience, as players navigate the interconnected environments and uncover the game's dark secrets and mysteries. Boss battles are particularly challenging, requiring players to learn enemy patterns and execute flawless strategies. Despite the steep learning curve, the game offers a deeply satisfying and rewarding gameplay loop for those willing to persevere through its difficulties. The game's gothic atmosphere and Lovecraftian influences contribute to its immersive and captivating world.

BLOODBORNE - FromSoftware does it again.

    Reviewed by - March 30, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BLOODBORNE is the game that every Demon's Souls and Dark Souls fan hopes it would be.. Fresh, new, amazing, and different.. but somehow still very familiar to those games. Unlike the Souls games, BLOODBORNE takes on a different approach in combat - a more, in your face type of approach. There isn't many shields in this game, so you rely more on dodging, and counter-attacks. I recommend this to anyone that want's to play a game that is tough and rewarding, and doesn't just hand you victory. I also recommend this game to any Demon / Dark Souls fans, as FROMSOFTWARE and Hidetaka Miyazaki has made another master-piece.

Great game. Perhaps the best of this year so far.

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - March 27, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bloodborne is this year's early candidate for GOTY. It's combat action is second to none, and it will take all your skill and experience to progress. This is not just hacking and slashing your way thru enemies, you must find a way to survive this hellbound world. Plan ahead, and you will be victorious. Run and gun Cod style, and you'll be flipping this on Craigs.

    Great Game

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - July 9, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't think this game was as hard as everyone says it is. The first mandatory boss was the only one I had lot of trouble beating. It takes a bit of time to learn how to play though. It was hard at first, but once you got the hang of it, it wasn't too bad. I might have been overleveled a little bit though, but I was definitely not trying to level up before bosses. Most of the time I was just exploring all the areas and fighting the enemies, instead of just running past most of them. It is a very complicated world, which I would say I did use Youtube and other sites for help. It is a great game, you just got to get used to the combat system.

Faster Soul's experience with some tech issues

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 21, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always tried to fall in love with the Soul's series but I was never able. It's not the difficulty - I find it extremely challenging and rewarding (not to mention frustrating in several occasions). Bloodborne's combat is tight, precise and well executed. The variety of weapons is not big but the ones you have are very different and satisfying. What bothered me most on this game was technical issues with frame rate. At several times the FPS drops to 20. This lack of polish turns me down. I wouldn't say it's a great game but definitely a good one. If you are a fan of the series you should definitely play it. If not, it's worth a try regardless.

    The best Soulsborne game

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 21, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bloodborne is From Software's crowning acheivement. An incredible deep and dark tale, captivating Victorian style and ultra fluid, super fun combat all weave together to make an unforgettable game. The co-op elements are great, there are plenty of NPC spawns to help with hard bosses, and invasions are as tense as ever. Newcomers may find the difficulty fairly punishing at first - BUT stick with it! I can't possible relate how rewarding this game is to grasp, but also what you get from figuring out exactly what is going on in the town of Yharnam. I can't sing it's praises enough. 400+ hours in and will double that at some point :)

    Incredible...

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - March 31, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant to buy this one after hearing about the difficulty. But I went on a limb and got it. I haven't been this hooked to a game in YEARS. Yes, you will die. You will die ALOT. But that's part of the experience.... learning from your mistakes, paying attention to whats going on. And when you finally make it past "that part", its a great feeling of accomplishment. Reminds me of the old punishing games I grew up with. The graphics and audio are unreal and the action is fast paced. Highly recommended. If you get it, try and stick with it - it will be frustrating at first but your patience will be rewarded.

    Prepare to Die: Lovecraftian Edition

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - May 2, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a fan of the Miyazaki since Demons Souls, beat Dark Souls, and I've just beaten Bloodborne. The talk of difficulty levels is true, you'll be hard pressed to find a game so unforgiving, but with that challenge comes a sense of satisfaction when you overcome the adversaries of Yahrnam. Not to say that the game is unfair, however, in fact quite the opposite. Your deaths in the quest become avoidable when you learn just how you're meant to pet this angry tiger to finesse victory from it's talons. Bloodborne is, in my opinion, everything a hardcore game should be, and if you're up for the challenge, you won't be disappointed. I r8 8/8, truly gr8.

    Fantastic Exclusive

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - June 1, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially I was not going to buy this game. After using share-play and actually playing this game I just had to go get this game. The combat is really amazing. It is not a hack and slash. It takes skill and strategy to defeat monsters. Enemies and bosses are extremely detailed. The beauty of this Gothic themed game puts terror in you when fighting bosses. The best thing about it is that it is not as hard as dark souls series and demon souls. I played all those games and could not beat them. This game I beat twice and achieved the platinum trophy. I have not played co-op but I have played pvp and it is fun as long as it is working.

    Punishingly Great

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - April 18, 2015

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love blood borne. This is the best game I've played on the PS4 so far. I should also mention that Dark Souls was my favorite game on the PS3\360 generation so Im sure I have some bias but seriously this game is just fantastic. The level design is masterful, the enemies and bosses are equally as masterful. This game is a masterpiece and I recommend this to anyone who likes a good challenge, or actually likes when a game doesn't hold your hand and lets you feel real accomplishment went you make progress. Couldn't recommend this enough, just be patient in the beginning and once you get a hold of the mechanics the game is incredible
