The Chindits were elite long-range penetration groups operating in Burma during World War II, known for their daring raids and guerrilla warfare. Mortar teams played a crucial role, offering indirect support fire when conventional artillery wasnât available. Accurate and effective, these crews could rain down high-explosive shells on Japanese positions hidden in the dense jungle terrain.
