Bolt Action Partisan Squad

This pack contains 10 random Partisans. Models may be different from those illustrated.

French partisans during World War II were members of the French Resistance, a diverse group united in their opposition to the German occupation of France. They were active from 1940, following the fall of France, until the liberation in 1944. The partisans, often comprised of men and women from varied political and social backgrounds, utilized guerrilla tactics to disrupt German military efforts.

Their roles included sabotaging railway lines, bridges, and supply routes to hinder the German army's logistics. They also gathered and disseminated intelligence to the Allies, assisted in the escape of downed Allied airmen, and organized safe houses. Some partisans joined Maquis groups that operated in remote, rugged terrain, using their knowledge of the countryside to ambush German patrols or collaborators.

The equipment of the partisans varied. They often relied on captured or smuggled weapons, such as rifles, pistols, and grenades, while also utilizing improvised explosives. Their distinctive lack of uniforms and reliance on civilian clothing allowed them to blend into the population, making it harder for the Germans to identify them.

Despite significant risks, including capture and execution, the French partisans played a vital role in the liberation of France. Their coordinated uprisings helped weaken German control and assisted the advancing Allied forces during the D-Day invasion and subsequent campaigns.

Note: Models supplied unassembled and unpainted.
