First day - display is defective from factory.
- September 24, 2021(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This isn't a great start - we've had this appliance installed for one day and already, there is a display issue. As soon as we powered it on, I was concerned it was so dim. We searched through the settings and there are 3 display settings and we have it in the highest level. Not great, so I called into my supplier who sold us the speed oven and they'll have to send a tech out. As soon as it got dark out and I turned the lights out in the kitchen for the evening, it was clearly visible that not only is the display dim, it's actually defective with blurry grey striations across the screen. As you can imagine, since the display is pretty important to the functionality of the unit, I was pretty disappointed to see this defect right out of the box. I'm also saddened that we can't even enjoy the unit before we now have to have a tech come out to our place, and since we live rurally and we are in the middle of COVID, I'm sure it will be a while before one is able to come out. What a disappointment and definitely a concern regarding the quality of this unit. We own a separate Bosch wall oven and the display on that one is impeccable, bright and colourful. Absolutely beautiful. This one is definitely old school technology, reminds me of an old alarm clock. For the inflated price we paid to simply match our wall oven, I'm definitely saddened. Reading through the below reviews, I'm so concerned that this is likely the start of one of many service calls that will need to be made for this unit. We custom built our cabinets around these units, and waited almost 8 months for this speed oven to be delivered. If we weren't committed to the unit because of the cabinet design, I'd be looking to return it and look at alternative oven combos. My advice, if you're reading this prior to buying this unit - don't. It's very pretty, but it seems like that beauty is all on the surface. Not feeling that great about the Bosch name right now...

Expected More
- June 24, 2025This is our 2nd Bosch 800 series microwave. The 1st unit had problems with the door micro switches. The 3rd time it failed, more was wrong. Too costly to repair. Had to purchase the another exact same one due to In cabinet dimensions. For the price we paid for the 1st high end Bosch, would have thought it should be better and last longer. Hope my second unit last longer. Good thing I had a 5 year warranty on the 1st unit. Anyway I hope my unit last much longer than 4 years. I paid for quality...so far I'm not impressed with Bosch Appliances.

Speed Oven

Bosch Customer Service is the worst!!
- September 22, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Bosch replaced a GE Microwave, that I had for 20 years... with no problems!! 2 years of owning this it broke!! It doesn't work!! Called Bosh Repair, the only appointment they had available was in 3 weeks, so I took it! 3 weeks came and they were a NO-SHOW!! I had to call them to find out they were not coming, and the only time they had for a tech to come out was in 3 weeks... UPSET to say the least!! Spending all that money for a BOSCH, and it breaks, and takes over 2 months to come and fix it!! STILL WAITING!! FYI SUBZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE BEST!!

Only Bosch Product NOT to Buy!
- June 22, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have built or remodeled several homes and I have always installed all Bosch appliances and been very happy with them. This is the exception to that rule. The oven is only 1 year and 7 months old and has totally died. I am extremely disappointed - especially after reading all of the reviews which suggest that this product has had quality issues for several years. There are also several glaring design flaws - the microwave is very deep and difficult to clean. The option for a side opening door is a must. The control panel lighting is so faint it is difficult to read and the alarm is barely audible. This is a poor product and design for such a good company.

Great while it worked
- September 18, 2019(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We purchased the speed oven combo unit in 2016. It sat in the house until the kitchen was reno's were completed in the summer of 2017. We had the unit installed and right from day one we noticed that the display was dimly lit. Unfortunately, the manufacturer's warranty ran out by 7 days. Anyways here we are in the fall of 2019 and the display just died. We got 2 years of functionality for 2 thousand dollars. I guess I should be grateful that it lasted for 2 years. While it worked it was fantastic and it was totally worth 5 stars, however, a 2-year life expectancy makes it worth only 2 stars for long term reliability.

A microwave oven with major quality issues!
- April 25, 2019I am very disappointed in the quality of this appliance, and some of its functionality. After 3 years of mild use (maybe once per day), the control buttons have rubbed off, and the LCD display is unreadable. The LCD and the motherboard failure seem to be common problems with this microwave model, after reading a number of reviews on-line. The button issue - not sure what to say. It is very annoying. Unlike the matching oven, assembled in the USA, this microwave was Made in Shunde - China. Another issue which is quite annoying is that the alarm bell is so quiet, that it is practically useless. Another poor design choice. I was expecting a lot more from a Bosch product, and thus would certainly not recommend this model to anyone. I have serious concerns about the entire brand, too.

Dead....
- February 23, 2021Installed all Bosch appliances in our dream kitchen in June, 2019. Custom fit appliance. Was great while it worked but 2 weeks ago (out of warranty by 8 mos.) and it's dead. Display died, tripped home circuit breaker. Had electrician check it. It's on own breaker and each time he would plug in, breaker would trip again. Read reviews on internet and am broken-hearted to see this is a VERY common problem. Have had intermittent problems with ice maker and Bosch service man came for range problems. Sad, sad, sad. Extended warranties are prohibitively expensive and each only 4 yrs max - no lifetime options. Thanks, Bosch.

Disappointed - needed repair when under 2 yrs old
- September 21, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this Convection Speed Oven/Microwave for 1 year and 10 months when it suddenly just quit working, no lights on display, no power. Since it was so new, I had an electrician check the wiring at the fuse box and in the back of the oven itself. All the wiring was good. So I had to pay a Certified Bosch Repair company to come look at it and then for parts needed (2 door monitor switches had gone out completely). We chose to pay more for Bosch appliances because we perceived them to be better quality and workmanship. I guess, not so much. Beware also...the inside of this oven is nice and shiny when new but almost impossible to keep that way after about 6 mos of use
