[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A couple of hundred bucks for a small appliance that makes tea may seem overkill but you will not be disappointed once you use it! This is the Cadillac of tea makers. The multiple options for brewing tea are impressive and it does an amazing job. I still marvel at how fast it brings water to a boil. The keep warm feature is also much appreciated to have the next cup waiting. The only negative is the staining of the bottom that seems to be getting worse. I have not researched how to properly address this staining yet but I am confident it will be a non-issue. Overall, this device brews the perfect pot of tea... everytime!

When I first received the package, the boxing is a bit shabby and looks like it's been in the shelve for too long. I wasn't impress of the condition of the product's box. But.. When I finally unveil the product out of its cage, I am very impressed how easy it is to operate and make an awesome cup of tea. The product is perfectly designed with stainless steal and the glass seems very solid which you do feel as a consumer that you are getting your money's worth. The other cool feature that I like about this product is the self-timer which lets you wake up with a freshly brewed tea and keeps your tea warm for a full hour. Overall, I am in love with the product :)

I bought this Tea Maker 15 years ago and never looked back. At first, I had issues spending this kind of money on myself or my morning cup of tea, BUT this machine has been revolutionary for me - a perfect cup of tea brewed to my specifications every time! My only complaint? Breville only makes these in stainless steel, not the beautiful colours they use of the kettles. Mine is probably due for an upgrade - after 15 years it is showing signs of wear despite taking care of it - and I am thinking about replacing it. Would love for it to match my other Breville appliances and my wife's stunning espresso maker, but alas, no love for tea drinkers - we are stuck with stainless steel.

My only issue is one of the design of the base of the unit. There is a small rectangular metal slot punched into the top of the base at 12 o'clock. It can permit water to enter the circuitry on the board encased below. If the reason for the slot is for cooling, then there must be a better way to do it. I have taped over the slot as a Band-aid solution to avoid a REPETITION of a previous problem with it short circuiting. Secondly, the clock function starts lagging and losing time after a week or so. For the price of the unit one expects better frankly. Other than these two points, it's a great machine!

Purchased this item as a Mother's Day gift for my wife. We are enjoying the functionality offered by the product. The basket moves in and out of the water resulting in an even brewing of the tea. The temperature setting for different type of tea works well. We drink many different types of tea and are able to utilize all the functionalities offered by the unit. The knocks against the unit is that you can only brew 1.2L of tea at a time. There are also times that I found the lid of the basket did not keep all the tea leaves inside the basket. Instructions on how to brew tea using the same leaves would be appreciated. It is a great product and worth the price while it is on sale.

I purchased this solely to use as a kettle so I was quite pleased that the tray for the tea that lowers down is removable. Even though I am not using the tea basket I also found it quite interesting it seems to operate on a magnetic system i’m guessing. The display is quite nice and easy to set different temperatures you want to heat the water too.

We’ve had this tea maker for about eight years now and there’s no way we’re looking back. We only needed customer service one time and it was outstanding. Not only do we love this device, we’re now in love with the brand as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a Breville fan (I own a smart oven, grill, 2 coffee makers, waffle iron, juicer etc.) And I do like the functionality of the tea maker. However I was very disappointed to learn that the one part that can break, the glass carafe, has no replacement part. Your only option is to buy a whole new tea maker. I was washing the kettle after it's last use and lightly (I do mean lightly) tapped the side of the glass with an Oxo dish brush and it broke. I called Breville support to order a replacement only to find out there was no replacement. At first they offered 20% off a new kettle. I was not happy with the answer and they offered 30% off. That still made the cost right at $200. I asked what would happen if the new carafe broke. In the one year warranty period they will replace it. A year and a day you have to buy another new kettle. I get that a company can't pick up the tab for everything, but I do think it is a design flaw that they don't want to stand behind. I barely touched the side with the brush and it broke and am left with an expensive paperweight. Unless you are sure you won't ever tap the side of the kettle I would say buyer beware.
