Two-wire pull chain switch, activates canopy lamps by gently tugging the beaded chain. Compatible with most ceiling fans or fan lights. Wiring Steps for Ceiling Fans: 1. Make sure the existing light switch has 2 wires. If there are 3 wires, a 3-wire switch is required. 2. Cut the two wires of the existing light switch using a wire stripper. 3. Strip the black wires about 1/2 inch apart. Wiring Steps for Ceiling Fans: 4. Connect one black wire from the light switch to one black wire from the ceiling fan. 5. Connect the other black wire from the light switch to the other black wire from the ceiling fan. Wiring Steps for Ceiling Fans: 6. Secure the connection between the wires using wire connectors by twisting them clockwise. 7. Wire connections must be secured; otherwise, it may result in fire hazard, electric shock, or serious injury.
