Free from the distractions of the city it could easily lay claim to be Australia's own Laurel Canyon? Against this backdrop the band has crafted a dozen tracks for their debut album Migration, released nationally through Vitamin Records on June 1st. After 2 years of writing, recording and rehearsing Migration is now ready for your ears. The album was recorded on a minimal budget with generous contributions from Julian Mendelsohn (Paul McCartney, Pet Shop Boys, Kate Bush) and Mark Frith (The Electric Soft Parade, Gay Dad, Tom McCrae). President Roots have developed a huge local reputation on the peninsula as a must see live band playing over 150 shows, and with a substantial turn out to their local album launch, have been truly embraced by the local community. Venturing to Tamworth twice and tipped as a best kept secret, once as the subject of a documentary pilot Road Stories.
