Cubelets are modular robotic building blocks that can be combined in different configurations to explore how individual components work together. The Battery Cubelet provides power for robot constructions and features a rechargeable battery with micro USB charging. The Drive Cubelet adds motorized movement with roller wheels, allowing compatible robot constructions to travel across flat surfaces.
For sensing and environmental interaction, the Brightness Cubelet detects available light, while the Distance Cubelet uses infrared sensing to detect objects approximately 10–80 cm in front of the sensor. The Flashlight Cubelet adds a focused white LED beam that can respond to input values.
The bundle also includes logic and data-processing modules. The Blocker Cubelet can block data communication between neighboring Cubelets while continuing to pass power. The Inverse Cubelet reverses received values, while the Maximum Cubelet passes along the highest input value. The Minimum Cubelet outputs the lowest value it receives, providing additional options for creating conditional and responsive robot behaviors.
The Bluetooth Hat adds wireless connectivity, allowing Cubelets robot constructions to pair with compatible Bluetooth-enabled devices.
