Great waffle maker, best quality for the price.

This waffle maker is great, I used to have an upright one from Cuisinart also that lasted a few years, but it was rather limited in terms of the options I had in making waffles and other recipes. This one works even better, it holds literally double the capacity, so I can make a batch for the whole family to eat the other one is in the works and not eat after them like before, also the plates are interchangeable so that means I can was them in the sink and also use them to make eggs and other things. Still have a long way to go in trying new ingredients on it.

    Excellent waffle/pancake combo maker

If you are looking for a real Belgian Waffle Maker this is not it. This waffle iron does not have the ability to make large thick waffles but it can make regular size waffles really well. The same applies for pancakes - can't make big fluffy pancakes but regular size flatter cakes are a breeze. We love the fact we can also prepare eggs and Canadian bacon using the pancake plates when we are making bacon, egg, & cheese sandwiches. Definitely saves space not having to own a separate waffle iron and pancake griddle. Cleaning up is a breeze as you can detach the plates and put them in the dishwasher if you want.

    It’s a fine waffle maker.

Does a decently consistent job. Could be a little faster to reach operational temp, but it gets it done once it’s there. To be clear, this is very much not a ‘pro’ appliance, but it is totally adequate. Build quality looks good, but it’s obviously built down to a price. Ex: the Handle looks like steel but is plastic, as is the bottom of the clamshell. The hinges and frame are solid metal though, as are the ‘catches’ that hold the irons on. I’m sure it is more than strong enough for it’s intended purpose- it just feels a bit chintzy to the hand. Easy to clean. Does the job. Anti stick does its job, and it’s easy to clean. Not hideously ugly, what more can you ask for the price?

    Great waffle maker

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - September 5, 2020

This makes terrific Belgian Waffles. We use Krusteaz waffle mix and they turn out perfect. Crispy outside, light inside. Timing has consistently been 7.5 minutes to heat the appliance to setting 4, and 4.5 minutes for each batch of waffles to cook on setting 4. We found setting 5 to be too done, and setting 3 too light. We tried the pancake plates once, not thrilled with it. The pancakes were bland compared to doing them in a pan on the stove.

Great nonstick surface and removable plates

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - June 28, 2021

When my old Cuisinart waffle maker finally failed after many years of service, I decided to upgrade to the newer model with the removable plates. I love it! I have cooked on it a few times and my waffles release completely from the nonstick surface, no effort required. The removable plates are a game changer, being so easy to clean. I'm very pleased with this model and recommend it.

    Great waffle

The waffle maker works great, the plate comes off easily to clean, I did not try the plates for the pancake. My Belgian waffles were a success on the first try, follow the instruction.

Best in size and quality, stop the search

This is the perfect waffle maker but also has a pancake and flat top accessory to allow lots of options for use. Our old waffle maker broke and we needed a new one but wanted to be able to make more than a single waffle. We love the way it works and how easy to clean. Highly recommend

So far, NOT so good but will try again

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - April 3, 2025

I bought a different waffle iron to replace my 30+ year old Hamilton Beach. I thought Cuisinart would be a great brand to purchase and decided to spend a bit more for it. After washing the plates in the dishwasher I made a large batch of waffles and tossed the first one cooked. My husband (who is the most un-picky eater ever) wouldn't eat them saying they taste metallic. I'll need to toss the waffles I made and try again (thus the 3 stars). I'll be super disappointed if they also taste bad as the first ones did I will be looking to return it for another brand.
