CyberPower works as it should, and a solid tip.
- August 19, 2023[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had quite a few backup systems over the years, but this has the best combination of outlets and stats in its price range. It had an opportunity to prove itself a couple of weeks ago when the power went out. I was able to finish up my work on the computer (iMac) and save with no issues. Here's a little tip for all backup blocks where space for various large plugs and bricks cannot find a home: I bought a six pack of cord extensions for cheap. They are basically a six inch long extension cord that gives you just enough length to allow you to use just about any size brick with no problem. Just search around for them. The photo shows the unit as part of my cable management system.

Battery backup does exactly what it is supposed to do
- April 10, 2019If one knows how much power is required, and chooses a backup that s capable of providing the correct amount, these work very well! I see lots of reviews claiming that they are unable to supply enough power to high end electronics and gaming computers. These people have not selected the battery backup capable of powering their device. These backups are rated in VA rather than in Watts. a 650VA backup provides about 375 Watts of power and most will only keep connected devices powered for 60 seconds to 6 minutes, depending on the load. If you have a high draw device like an office computer on this backup, it will likely use close to 100% of the capacity (the average office desktop PC uses about 300 watt power supply) and will only give you enough time to shut the computer down gracefully. Do not buy this if you need long uptime during an outage or if you want to power anything over ~350 watts for more than a minute or two. This is designed to safeguard against sudden power loss, not keep your office or gaming computer running through a power outage.

Great product for my need
- June 20, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought several of these to mitigate issues we have with intermittent electrical "outages" / blips. Even after installing a generator, the power would go down for 10 seconds until the generator kicks in. I put one in my bedroom, powering TV and other devices, another in TV room (powering TV and cable box), and the third in my utility room to power my master cable connection, internet modem, and VOIP phone. These only need to use battery for maximum of 10 seconds before my generator kicks in. While my Google wifi takes a few seconds to reconnect after generator kicks in, everything else runs perfectly. Great solution to my problem.

Good for lower power consumption devices
- July 8, 2020[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Working good so far to keep several lower powered devices (NAS, router, ISP modem) online and to allow an NAS to gracefully shut down when utility power goes out. While one can put desktops and other higher power consumption devices on this UPS, they may not stay powered by the battery for long. The outlets are spaced slightly more apart than more expensive and capable UPS tower devices. However for some the orientation of the plugs themselves may mean putting larger plugs/wall warts on the top or bottom outlet. The solution, which I assume others do with other UPS units is to buy very short extension cables that allow one to use larger wall warts. Battery IS user replaceable. The USB outlets ARE powered by the units battery when utility power is cut off. The Synology DSM program will properly use this device, when one connects the USB cable from the UPS's USB data port on the side of the unit to the Synology NAS's USB port. Its important to understand that these lower end consumer UPS units are not designed to keep your equipment powered for hours at a time. They are designed for keeping equipment powered during short power outages and or allow one to gracefully shut down the computer or other device connected to the battery backup outlets. And it should be noted that most consumer level UPS units do not recommend connecting high power consumption devices like printers or microwaves to them.

Product Good - Customer Service Bad
- July 10, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product itself has been without issue until this past month - it no longer works. This is about Best Buy customer service. It has a 3 year mfg. warranty with 6 months left - I was told by IM contact with Best Buy to return it to the store. I also called Best Buy and went through the ridiculous phone maze and finally got to someone who then transferred me to a Geek Squad tech who also told me to return it to the store. When I did return it to the store, they tell me there's nothing they can do - but he did verify it was still under warranty. as much as I dislike Wal-Mart, when my gift card runs out I'm done with Best Buy.

Good product, does what it's supposed to do
- November 9, 2019[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, it's a UPS with battery backup, and as far as I can tell it's doing its job, I haven't had any issues so far, and I think I've owned it for about a month now. The product is quite a bit lighter than my previous unit, which is a plus to me. It's also good that it has two USB ports to charge your devices, my older one didn't have that. Based on my experience, I guess I'd recommend this product to others, it wasn't too expensive, and if it protects your computer and gives you a bit of time to shut things down in the event of a power outage, I'd say it's a good purchase, basically a cheap way to insure your equipment.

Good UPS, but should have battery backup on all co
- November 11, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The last one i had was solid, although the surge protection only side stopped worked 6 months past the 3 year warranty. But the USB connection to the computer and software always keeps me current on power use, and that the UPS is working correctly. Great protection, and works as intended. I wish I had the ability to turn the three plug connections sideways when I have long power connecters so it doesn't cover the connection next to it. All connections should have battery backup, not just one side, hence the 4 stars.

Does its job, companion software is good!
- August 21, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] UPS does what it is supposed to and the CyberPower PowerPanel Personal software is great, giving full configurability of the UPS' operational configuration. I like the power consumption metrics it calculates as well. I have dinged it 1 star because the mounting points on the underside do not come with any hardware or best practices/instructions for actually mounting. Took me a few tries to mount it properly to the underside of my standing desk.

More like CyberJunk
- October 21, 2023[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WARNING!! DO NOT BUY!!! This is the 3rd UPS I ever bought. The first 2 were APC and I never had a problem with them at all. For years the APCs performed flawlessly. That's why I LOVE APC!! This time I figured I would try a cheaper brand since it's just to power little modem and router in next room. Wow, what huge a mistake! This thing runs out of power within 3 minutes now, and it's not even 1 year old. When I first got it, it would stay on for about an hour or more with just the modem and router. Good thing I got the extra coverage, I'm taking it back tomorrow and getting an APC with the in store credit.
