You are inmates, sentenced to life in Blackgate prison. You are not happy with prison life anymore. In fact, it is getting downright miserable. Time to make a plan that gets you out of here sooner than later. You thought a little and came up with a great idea: Dig a tunnel !

The only problem is that other inmates have all come up with the exact same idea and are collecting the same tools. Now, it is a mad dash to complete your tunnel first before the warden figures it out and shuts it all down.

A nice quick worker placement game with a fun move mechanic

You will need tools unless you want to dig using spoons! You will move around the prison trying to gain items to build the tools you need. You may also exchange them against cigarettes – the game’s money - or, if you are strong enough, extort them from other players!

Each turn, players can take two actions, some of which can only be done in certain areas of the prison. These actions are moving, gaining cards, buying, selling, crafting items (tools or weapons), joining gangs, extorting other players, fighting, healing, and of course… digging!

The game ends when a player’s tunnel reaches the length necessary to win the game.
