Bought the Dyson AM07 a few days ago. It required joining three sections together which was easy enough. It has a sort of rubbery surface that I think will attract dust over time. The remote is very small and does not have enough tactile feel to sense the buttons in the dark. I was lured in by the TV commercial promising quiet and lots of air. The Dyson AM07 is only quieter than a regular fan when on the lowest setting and then the airflow is too low. It is also too short to be a floor fan. All in all, it was a disappointment. A regular fan is better in my opinion than the Dyson AM07 at a quarter of the price.

The fan itself is good and because of it's upright position takes up very little space, but the remote control needs redesigning as very hard to see what each button dose especilly in low light and it would be great if it had a place to store on the fan unit for safe keeping, I used a small magnet and stick on steel disc so it just ssits on top of my fan.

Sleek and elegant and comes easy to assemble, with a very straightforward remote. This works perfectly even across the living room into the dining room area (at max power the reach can really be quite far, and even at lower levels it is very capable of delivering solid circulation). A lot better than some of the other models (AM05, for example, does not really work that well as a fan). Love that it is child-safe too. My friend's kids were over and they kept themselves entertained putting their faces on the output side, and even though they tipped it sideways a couple of times running around it, there was hardly any danger with no blades and being fairly lightweight as it is. Highly recommended.

I found that with the fan on a setting of 4 to 5 (about 1/2 speed) I could feel the air flow from at least 7-8 m away, and the noise was barely noticeable. We have the fan set adjacent to a fireplace that was not installed with it's own fan, to assist in distributing the heat around the room and it works very well. The fan is also adjacent to the TV, and at the 4 to 5 setting, it does not impair hearing of the audio from the TV. Overall I'm very impressed with the performance. It does, however, come at a hefty price tag.

It works great! It's pretty quiet and powerful. No it cannot replace an air conditioner; people who say this are trying to justify their purchase I think. I do love it. It pushes air around very well. I think it's best to get it on sale. Even on sale it's a bit borderline if it's worth it. But if money isn't a huge issue then go for it. The best fan I've owned for sure. Not the most powerful; but the most efficient for sure. Be careful about judging a fan on power alone. This thing might not be the most powerful; but it's still does a better job than more powerful units because the air actually travels further. Other powerful fans "lose their steam" more so than this one at a long range. So yes up close it isn't as powerful; but over 10-15ft you'll feel this more than other fans. If you don't have any air conditioner; I'd honestly recommend picking one of those up instead. But if you need to push air around efficiently and quietly; this really is the best fan I've ever owned and I swear the air coming out of it is actually slightly cooler, for some weird reason, than other fans. I don't know why, it just feels that way to both me and my wife. On top of that, it's literally the only fan that doesn't annoy my wife by being directly on her. All other fans seem irritating. I think the even distribution of airflow is the reason for this.

I don't think I've ever felt so good about spending so much money on such an object but the Dyson fan is so far superior than any other fan. I compared a basic tower fan next to a Dyson on a particularly scorching Southern California heat wave day and the difference was amazing. Literally cool air blows from the Dyson reach beyond the capacity of the tower fan. Its quiet, easy to move to a different room. I already had a Dyson heater I thought was great but this fan is even better than the heater. This was a life changer during the heat of September, I bought it out of desperation in the middle of the night and it was the best decision.

I have owned many fans in my days and words cannot express how unbelievable and superior this fan is. It is quiet, powerful and wipes clean. I have many of the Dyson products, including the vacuum and the fan which also functions as a heater and have never been disappointed. I also purchased all the same Dyson products for my children who now live on their own and recommend it to everyone. You cannot believe how powerful this fan is. Once you own this Dyson product you will NEVER purchase a regular fan again. Hey....I was always taught you get what you pay for and this was definately worth every penny. Dyson is in a class all by itself.

I bought an AM07 when we were going through a heat wave in SoCal. Over 100 degrees every day for a week, and that is unusual for these parts as we are near the ocean. Our new dog is very smart, but he rolls around on the floor next to the fan, and no moving blades is a plus. The verdict? The AM07 works well, it is very quiet and easy to clean. It just doesn't move enough air around to rival an AC and if it is really hot it can't do much more than move hot air from one place to another. In a severe heat wave you need a real AC (or swamp cooler) and not a fan, but as a fan in less trying circumstances the AM07 is quite good.

The fan works splendidly, and is attractive, however there are two flaws IMHO: 1) The fan is not only functional, but it sits in your home. It has to be attractive as well as functional. What you get with the AM07 is a dark grey power cord... The unit is white, but this really stands out. Why not make the cord white? How many people do you know with a dark grey baseboard (where the cord will most likely lay), as opposed to a white baseboard??? 2) For this price, you'd expect a superior remote using RF (radio frequency) instead of IR (infrared). You will always have to have line of sight to adjust the fan. That's a disappointment. Otherwise, a good product.

I have hot flashes at night and my old fan keeps my husband up at night so for my Birthday this year he got me (us) this dyson fan . I have looked at them for many years but didn't feel I got spend the money on one. I have been using this one for a month and now I wish I had spent the money when I first show them. It is amazing how much it makes a difference. unlike standard fans this one is very quite has a even flow of air that move at the right speed of rotation. I still get hot flashes but with the remote control I just speed up the fan from a 2 to a 5 . It has 10 speed levels but there is no need to run it that fast is work well at lower levels. LOVE this fan .
