EGR Valve Blank Plate for VW CR Engines With 1.6 1.2 and 2.0 Litre Capacities

This blanking plate is made from Laser cut 1.5mm 304 Stainless Steel, and has been rumbled to make it smooth and give it an abraded surface to get a better seal. It fits between the exhaust extension tube and the EGR cooler ( shown in the pictures), which is held in place by two bolts at the front of the engine. Can also be fitted to the rear, next to the turbo. The plate is best NOT to be fitted to the EGR valve itself as it has a flap type valve, and opens out in to the connecting pipe would stop its movement, which could put it into limp mode.

This plate will put the engine management light on, but will not go into limp mode. ( having a hole in it still would get the EML coming on, so no point). It is slotted to make it easier to fit.

This EGR valve fits VW CR engines with 1.6, 1.2, and 2.0 litre capacities. Please check the type of EGR valve required for your specific engine before placing your order.
