[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Despite the costly entry to this key light, it was well worth the $200 ish or whatever it's going for nowadays. A Master mount arm by itself is going for $40 so you can deduct that from the separate cost and the key light is essentially $160. I ended up purchasing this product over the Logitech Litra Glow light which was only $60. The cons: - Doesn't come with physical buttons to control brightness or temperature color. - Not compact or portable, especially once it's mounted on the arm. - Initial setup is through 2.4ghz wifi NOT 5ghz band. If you're not used to messing with your wifi settings, this light will drive you crazy when you're setting it up. The key is to basically turn off the 5ghz band in your router settings (Look on the side for a 192. IP address to enter into your browser and enter into the settings menu) and after the setup is complete, turn it back on. - No physical cable to connect to your PC to avoid the wifi setup like the Litra Glow. If these are dealbreakers, check out Logitech's Litra Glow and Beam for compact, physical connection devices with physical buttons. Pros: - Bright! I only use it at around 30% for the perfect lighting. If you needed to light up an entire bedroom or something further away from your desk, you have a whole 70% left to do that. - No heat spot on a small part of your face or item you're lighting up. Since it's a bigger light than the smaller Litra Glow, the light is spread nicer over a large area making it look more natural. - Can be paired with a Stream Deck for some amazing settings and quick setup profiles, even if you're not a streamer, the Stream Deck is a great productivity device. Overall, pricey light but well worth the cost when you consider that it pairs so well with El Gato's Stream Deck. I guess you do have to pay extra to get physical buttons so I hope that's an update on future Key Light models and a physical cable connection would be nice too.

I've been using the Key Light now for about 7 months. One light was powerful enough to light my entire streaming setup! Out of the box ready to use, a lots of settings and customization to get the right color/lighting balance. It's a very clean design as well, hidden cables and small in size.

I’ve been using this light for a couple of months now and let me tell you there is no comparison. The fluidness and seamless integration with streamdeck or even their computer software makes the setup super easy and clean. I love that I can mount it to my desk and not have it clutter my desk space, compared to my previous lighting setup with my table lamps. It is a bit of a premium price but I feel like the quality is well worth it and now just gotta save for my second one so I can have the perfect setup! This is a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to take their stream quality to the next level. I don’t have a great webcam but with the lighting that this light provides, it makes it look 10X better.

If you've ever set up an expensive lighting kit, you know it can be a pain to unpack everything and set up. This light will not be enough for a full TV or film set, but it's perfect for anything a normal, solo content creator will ever need for streams and videos. I will also say it has been an excellent addition to my virtual meeting setup, as sometimes might meetings last into the evenings when the room gets dark and the room lighting turns everything orange. Fully customizable temperature lighting to balance out your environment and controllable with the mobile app. Now anyone can light their setup like a pro. This light is REALLY cool.

I have been using Elgato products since the Game Capture HD with a 2009 iMac. I used to light up my elgato green screen with a cheap USB powered LED work light set on the floor. It managed for the most part, but far from an ideal solution. The jump to the Key Light was like night and day, literally. Having full control over colour temperature and brightness made my lighting look instantly professional. Being able to control every option via the iOS app over WiFi meant the Key Light became the main source of lighting in my tiny apartment, and still is.

Getting good lighting whenever I do an unboxing has always been a bit of a challenge but the Elgato Keylight has been a huge addition. I love being able to turn it on and off from my Elgato Stream Deck and have actually started using it as my regular light rather than turning the lights on in my room. I am able to make all sorts of adjustments to the lighting, making it dimmer or brighter and even hotter or colder. While it can be used without the Stream Deck, they certainly make for a great pair! It's a truly fantastic product that I use every day.

I had this for about a month and they worked fine, and then all of a sudden, it wouldn't work. The most frustrating part is that I have 2 of them, and only 1 stopped working. I've been wrestling with it for hours. I've reset my connection, my wifi, my phone, my computer, I've tried other devices, I installed the iphone app, the mac app, but no matter what, it won't connect. It sees it as a device, it tells me it's going to hook it up, and then it just proceeds to not find it in the app. Crazy frustrating. App hasn't been updated in almost a year now anyway. Don't get this until they fix their app. It's unusable in its current state. Way too buggy.

Gone are the days of huge light boxes that heated up your room, I own two key lights, not even because you need 2, but because they're just so cool. The most underrated thing that comes with Key Light, is the Mount that it comes with! You can setup and control the lights using the command center app on your phone, you can run the command center on your pc for updates, you can connect the lights to a hotkey to your stream deck to turn them on, change color temperatures. It's so unique in its shape and the amount of space it takes up on your desk, it's literally beautiful, well made, reliable, I've never had issues.
