The songs here are all good, though listeners already familiar with Hopkins's style won't be surprised by anything they hear on this disc. From the acoustic ballad "Santa Fe Blues" (complete with obligatory railroad reference), to the uptempo, lighthearted "Little Wail," to the humorous story contained in "Big Car Blues," this is quintessential acoustic country-blues, Texas style. --Genevieve Williams
