Trying to replace the filter in the very expensive, upscale refrigerator has become nothing but frustration! GE says the filter I need (XWF) has been replaced by a new version (XWFE) which is supposed to fit. It doesn't! So now I'm stuck with a few months old Profile 4 door without being able to use the water or ice function! Very unhappy.

I bought the fridge in January of 2019 so it’s brand new I live in nyc so the tap water is very clean I don’t understand why I’m burning threw these filters so quickly.we prob use 8 liters of water a day I would think is not much. Some one please help I can’t afford buying these expensive filters all the time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this filter when my refrigerator said it needed to be changed. I didn’t realize how easy it was to change. Just open the door and pop in, it’s that simple! Don’t forget to run a gallon of water and dump it out. You will also need to reset the filter button (which took us a few tries).

The refrigerator section keeps freezing the filter and destroys/cracks the filter, thus the ice maker and water dispenser do not work. Our eggs in the box have frozen in the refigerator section. I need to keep replacing the filter. Poor engineering design for this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works as stated and expected but it seems to last only half as long as other refrigerators filters do that cost the same amount of time. We had a Samsung refrigerator in the past that had a filter that lasted six months. This one lasts only about three and they cost the same.

Had some trouble with the water dispenser early on and we were able to use the replacement to test things out. Seems to do a great job filtering and the water is crystal clear. Super easy to install as well.

Rip off alert! I bought the refrigerator NEW on September 27, 2019 in a brand NEW SECOND home that I’m not in daily ave they replace filter light already came on!!!!!! I wasn’t using the ice or water from the refrigerator until last week! Unacceptable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This filter is far superior than my previous non GE fridge filter. The ice cubes do not turn yellow or stale over time. Expect the need to change the filter approx every 6 months. Changing the filter is simple. takes less than a minute...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this original replacement for a reason however water is coming out with a strong smell and taste of chlorine. I am disappointed and surprised. I can’t recommend, specially with this price tag
