[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The God of War is a series of games that have gotten better over the years -- graphically and gameplay. You start out having to go on a journey to bury your dead wife. Yes, it's morbid but it's also how you and your young son learn to bond. On the way, you'll teach your son how to hunt, gather, and how to survive in the wilderness. Soon you and your son will be visiting new lands, be challenged to defeat terrible enemies, and have to solve riddles and puzzles. There will be the typical side quests too to get the necessary items for acquaintances you meet along the way that will provide you with items to get you to the next level. You'll have lots of fun playing a god and his son. Buy it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A true classic (slightly overrated) with great graphics, an amazing story, great music, and fun combat. But little variety of enemies and especially bosses. The skin customization is very minimalist. What I liked the most is the relationship between Atreus and Kratos, evolving as the game progresses and puts them into more and more challenging situations. The voice acting and characters in the game are fantastic. The game still looks really impressive almost 5 years later.

The way Santa Monica brought back one of the most hardest worked PlayStation games, and to see how it evolved into this beautiful open world game was amazing. The graphics were awesome on PS4 Pro. The Complicated puzzles and breaking locks were frustrating but fun. The story was spectacular with exciting boss fights here and there. The ending was a shocker!

You really get a sense of a high budget blockbuster presentation with this game. If you only play games like Animal Crossing, then this game may not be for you, but for anyone wanting a thrilling challenge adventure, this is it. I also recommend Spider-Man.

God of War is less about being a God, and more about being a human. Gameplay= 10/10 - Responsive, intuitive and tight controls. Fun Factor= 10/10 - Fun to fight, explore, solve, learn and uncover. Attention Hold= 10/10 - The open world and exploration pulls you in. Visuals & Presentation= 9.5/10 - Amazing visuals & mostly intuitive menus. Sound= 10/10 - Soundtrack is inspiring and exciting; great acting. Overall= 99/100 Closing thought: This game is gonna win many GoTY awards.

When you spend $60 on a game, God Of War delivers that quality and then some. You will not be dissapointed by this amazing game with it's story, mechanics, and battle system. Wow...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I procrastinated in buying this game because I thought it was just going to be a rehash of things already revisited previously. The idea of a child sidekick didn't appeal to me much either. I couldn't have been more wrong! This game is an absolute masterpiece from beginning to end. It exudes quality that is nearly unmatched in any recent game save for the likes of Batman Arkham Knight or The Witcher 3. There's a visceral quality to the graphics and sound and gameplay that really has to be witnessed to fully appreciate. And the story will linger for a very long time. Please don't make the assumption that I did. You want this game. Trust me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] "God of War" came as a surprise to fans of the franchise because of the drastic changes that it made to its original hack-and-slash format. Yet, the majority of fans embraced the game upon its release due to how well these changes were done. The game is just as violent as its predecessors, but there is an additional level of grit and realism to it due to its new presentation. In fact, many aspects of the game reminded me of what Naughty Dog did with Uncharted and The Last of Us, and I mean that as high praise. "God of War" is one of the best games of the year, and it's hard to imagine that many would be disappointed by their purchase of it.
