Well integrated with the app
- November 22, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1. The google nest Wi-Fi comes with all the necessary cables and power adapter. 2. It’s pretty much plug and play and the google app does all the set up for you after the QR code is scanned. 3. Even the indicators on the unit is very pleasing visually. 4. The unit itself is well integrated with the app and you get all the notifications via app. 5. White is the only available color. Wished a darker option is available.

Great router for next gen of wifi networks!
- November 21, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When this router became available I was really excited to get it as my current router was starting to get slow with the increased number of devices added to the network in the past few years. The aesthetics of the router are great as expected with the Nest lineup. Setup was really easy and getting the router (note: you will still need a modem) up and running took less than 10 minutes. I've had the unit for about a month how and the wifi has been strong across our ~20k sqft 3-level house even as we have had guests over and increased the wifi load. Altogether this is a great router for anyone looking to upgrade their network and be able to handle many things connected to their wifi network.

Works great and incredible design
- November 5, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The google Nest wifi Pro Router is very straightforward to install through phone google home app. I use it downstairs in a corner of my house (3500sqf) , which I know is not the best spot to cover the full house but still it manages to give me an acceptable speed anywhere. I took screen shot of the speed test in different places in my house, I know I can improve by relocating or adding a second unit, but I feel like I won’t need it as I get 32Mbps in the worst spot which is good enough for any TV/phone. So I would not have to worry about speed. Now, if you are planning to add the device in a visible spot, the look of the device is really pure and will not look like a data center with tens of different blinking light. It has a single led light! When my wife saw it she told me it looked like a jewel, and it really does. White, pure, shiny, sleek and kind of round! So good job on the design too.

So simple to setup and manage - and the speeds!!!
- November 1, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an early HomeKit adopter I tended to limit my purchases to items that were part of the Apple ecosystem. This all changed with my first Nest thermostat and experiencing the quality and refinement of the product. Since then my home has gotten another virtual occupant as I have bought several Google/Nest products. I love their aesthetic, and the functionality has always impressed me with maintenance free performance that always “just works.” I recently replaced my Eero setup with the Nest WiFi Pro mesh network and never looked back! My home is about 3500 square feet with two levels and, although three nodes are recommended, two (one at the central point of each level) are providing flawless coverage (to the perimeter of my lot line!). My Eero setup was strong centrally but rapidly got weaker as a node was distanced from. I’ve included a test result from the furthest indoor location I could muster - and let me tell you it’s darn impressive! I really like the nondescript aesthetic: they resemble a giant AirPods case and blend into any surrounding. The Nest WiFi Pro offers the very latest standard 6E (via tri-band mesh Wi-Fi with 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and the new 6 GHz wireless radios) and supports 100 devices per unit. I didn’t notice any heat to the touch and performance across each of my vastly different devices was consistently great. Broadcast and manage your network using the equipment it deserves! I pay for gig service and realized that I never really reaped the speeds until this new setup was added. The Nest WiFi Pro has removed so much frustration from my tech life that I simply cannot not recommend it enough!!

The perfect Wi-Fi 6e mesh System for Big Homes
- November 2, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Google Nest Wi-Fi Pro 6e AX5400 Mesh Router is the perfect mesh Wi-Fi for homes. For the past 5 years I have been using my internet providers router/modem combo and the signal was just not cutting it anymore, since I’ve added several 4K TVs that are all used for streaming. Since installing the Nest Wi-Fi Pro 6e it has been a real eyeopener of just how bad my internet providers router was, immediately I noticed a huge increase in speeds for my Wi-Fi devices. On my old router I was getting about 25-40Mbps over Wi-Fi depending on where I was in my house, with the Nest Wi-Fi Pro 6e AX5400 on the 5g signal I was getting up to 500Mbps and getting 600Mbps when plugged directly into the router to my PC and Xbox. Setup was a breeze in that you download the Google Home app on your phone and hit add new device and just plug router into your modem and follow the steps and boom your good to go. I have ordered the Nest Wi-Fi Pro 6e AX5400 2-pack to give my home better coverage because I still have some weaker signal areas (getting about 100 Mbps now) in my home that I would like to take full advantage of the Nest Wi-Fi Pro 6e AX5400. Do make sure you pair this with a 3.1 Cable modem, so that you get the best possible speeds, because if you get a 3.0 Cable modem you could end up bottle necking your router and not getting the speeds you are paying for. I recommend going with the Arris 3.1 Cable Modems because they work with all the major providers and its easy to set up also. Overall, I highly recommend upgrading to the Google Nest Wi-Fi Pro 6e AX5400 Mesh Router for anyone with a relatively big home to get the best speeds and it’s the best introductory price point for Wi-Fi 6e router, and since its mesh you can just add more of them to get the best possible coverage in home.

Simple Mesh Wi-Fi - Misses the “Pro” Mark
- November 4, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Google’s new Nest Wi-Fi Pro system arrived at just the right time, as I just purchased a new iPad and gaming laptop that are both Wi-Fi 6E compatible. I’ve tried a few different mesh systems over the past few years, but this is my first Google Wi-Fi system and my first one with Wi-Fi 6E compatibility. The Nest Wi-Fi Pro is simple to set up and easy to use, but performance is mediocre at best and it lacks certain feature and settings that would make it an actual “Pro” device. === SETUP === - Setup is about as simple as it gets, especially when setting up a single node like this particular configuration. Just take the unit out of the box, open the Google Home app, and scan the QR code on the bottom of the device. One issue I had is that the Google Home app does not work with the new cameras on my iPhone 14 Pro, so I was unable to scan the QR code and had to manually type in the code. - Once the router is recognized by the Home app, all you have to do is choose a Wi-Fi network name and password and then wait a few minutes for setup to complete. That’s pretty much it. - I wish more advanced options were offered during the setup flow, such as the ability to enable IPv6 and WPA3. These are disabled by default and never alluded to during setup. === PERFORMANCE === - Bottom line up front: performance is fine for the majority of average home users, but the router failed to saturate my 1 Gbps fiber connection in every test that I ran. - I tested the Nest Wi-Fi Pro in my 1,000 square-foot apartment. The router is centrally located in my apartment and it covers my entire space without issue. I see full bars of Wi-Fi everywhere in my apartment. Those with larger homes will likely need at least one more Nest Wi-Fi Pro node. Unfortunately, this new model is not backwards compatible with older Nest or Google Wi-Fi systems, so you existing users looking to upgrade can’t just purchase one node at a time. - The biggest issue is that there is almost zero customization offered for Wi-Fi configuration. Most importantly, you can’t separate the three bands (2.4, 5.0, and 6.0 GHz) into separate SSIDs, so the Nest Wi-Fi router will dictate which band your devices connect to. So even if you have a Wi-Fi 6E device, there’s no guarantee that it will reliably connect to the 6 GHz band. Too often, the router sends devices to the old, slow 2.4 GHz band. This was quite frustrating when trying to test speeds on my new iPad Pro with Wi-Fi 6E. It took about 5 restarts of the iPad before the Nest Wi-Fi router finally decided to let it connect to the 6 GHz band. - All of the speed tests I ran show perfectly acceptable Wi-Fi performance, especially on 6 GHz (Wi-Fi 6E). My iPad Pro reached peak speeds of nearly 800 Mbps upload and download while on the 6 GHz band. Over 5 GHz, most of my devices peak around 500-600 Mbps. These tests were done while sitting about 10 feet from the router. Once you lose a direct line of sight to the router, speeds fall off pretty quickly, especially on 6 GHz. - After a week of use, I can safely say that the Nest Wi-Fi Pro is very reliable. I have not seen any dropped connections, disconnects, or downtime. Speeds are perfectly fine, but the fact that most of my devices frequently connect to the slow 2.4 GHz band means that I can rarely saturate my 1 Gbps connection. === FEATURES AND MANAGEMENT === - The entire system is managed via the Google Home app. There is no web interface to control anything from a computer or web browser. The Google Home app is fine, but if you have multiple smart home devices that rely on this app, I feel it can get a bit overwhelming. - The app lets you see which devices are connected to your network and what bands they are on, see how much data they are using, run speed tests, set up a guest network, and set up parental controls via “Family Wi-Fi.” - There aren't too many advanced networking settings offered with the Nest Wi-Fi Pro, so I’m left wondering why Google is pushing the term “Pro” with this system. If you're a power user who needs to fine tune every last detail of your network, you might be left wanting more. As I mentioned, you can’t create separate SSIDs, nor can you choose the specific channels on which those bands operate. You get some port forwarding and IP reservation features, and that’s about it. === OTHER THOUGHTS === - The WAN port only supports speeds up to 1 Gbps, so if you have a multi-gig internet connection, you should probably look at other options. - There is only one ethernet port to connect a desktop computer, home security system, or other device that you would prefer to have hard-wired. If you want more ports, you'll have to connect an Ethernet switch. - No USB ports for those who would like to create a network storage solution. === OVERALL === The Nest Wi-Fi Pro system is simple, reliable, and easy to use. The problem is that’s it’s almost TOO simple, and it hardly earns the term “Pro” in its name. Don’t get me wrong - this is a great option for average home users. But don’t buy it expecting it to breathe new life into your shiny new Wi-Fi 6E devices — odds are that they will rarely connect via the 6 GHz band anyways. There are very few advanced options and I have yet to be able to fully utilize my 1 Gbps connection with this router. On the plus side, speeds are perfectly fine for the average user and the router is very reliable with good coverage. Real “Pro” users should probably keep their options open.

Don’t Think Twice!
- October 30, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! The Nest Wifi Pro is a must have! As soon as the box arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. It was perfectly packaged and had specific directions on how to make the device usable. The sleek design of the Nest is cute and blends in with my decor. It’s also slender and can fit into a small space if need be. After installing the Google Home application, I was able to connect to my current wifi router. My husband and I live in a rural area and internet options are limited. I was shocked to see the improvement of both download and upload speeds! This product has made a huge difference in our home. It was the added boost we needed to help us feel securely connected with the world. Stop what you’re doing and buy this product now!

Solid router for maximum speed and coverage!
- November 10, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the ever changing world of home networking, it is important to have a reliable, high quality router at the heart of ones wifi setup. The Nest Wifi Pro is the router you need to have for your wifi setup. Thanks to the Google Home app, setup of the Nest Wifi Pro is simple and quick. I had it up and running in less than three minute including an update to the router. The connection to the router is perfectly stable and blazingly fast. I have the router in a room at the one end of my house. There are not dead spots anywhere. I am even able to walk to the far end of my house and remain perfectly connected with no drop in performance. My house is about 2500 sq. ft. My wifi security camera located on my shed at the back of my property also connected without an issue and maintained a strong connection. Being a mesh router, one could buy multiple satellites to go with the Nest Wifi Pro but I do not think I would need one based on how well this one router performed. I highly recommend the Nest Wifi Pro router. It is a definite ten in my book!

Movie night here we come
- November 4, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Movie night here we come!!!! We love, love, love to watch movies so I recently purchased a projector and an inflatable 15ft movie screen! We we're all so excited, well it wasn't as good of a set up as I was hoping for. Our WiFi signal didn't reach that far so we had to rearrange everything to accommodate movie night. Needless to say that it got old really really fast. I needed a stronger signal to watch our movies outside and to keep the buffering monster at bay. Let me introduce you to the Google Nest Wi-Fi Pro!!! This baby will give you up to 2,200 square feet of coverage with speeds up to 5.4 Gbps and automatically updates so your Wi-Fi network stays safe and sound !!!!! The Tri-band Wi-Fi helps you get the highest performance and avoid congestion, that means seamless movie streaming, glitch-less gaming, amazing video calls and more. Now we can setup the screen and projector anywhere we want in the backyard. We now have the coverage we need to make these nights perfect and memorable!!!! We have started to love movie night under the stars all over again
