GROMBRINDAL: ANCESTOR'S BURDEN (PB)

A Warhammer Age of Sigmar Anthology

Within every duardin heart lives the legend of Grombrindal â the enigmatic Whitebeard who has wandered the Mortal Realms since ages uncounted. Appearing only in moments of dire need, he guides his people through catastrophe and war, though few can truly claim to have witnessed him with their own eyes.

Read this book to explore the richness and complexity of duardin culture across the Mortal Realms, told through tales focused on the deeds of Grombrindal. Part myth, part living legend, the Whitebeard stands ready whenever his kin face their greatest trials.

When the ancient sky-port of Barak-Thryng is assaulted by the Gloomspite Gitz in their obsessive pursuit of the Bad Moon, the cityâs defenders are pushed to the brink. Yet unseen powers are at work behind the invasion, as the Weaver of Fates turns his attention toward the beleaguered stronghold. Into this volatile conflict steps Grombrindal himself, accompanied by the Oathbreakersâwarriors seeking his aid to end an ancient curse laid upon one of their own. Long ago, Grombrindal swore to lift this malediction, known as the Ancestorâs Burden, and the time to fulfil that promise has come.

This anthology includes the short stories Rat-Tail, High Airs, Durkarâs Wake, King Osgekâs Prize, No Godâs Land, Bitter Oaths, and The Makerâs Promise, a full novella.
