[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had this kettle for over 6 months and can confirm I absolutely hate it. I created an account just to say how much i hate this kettle. It functions as a kettle, but does not have good usability. Major issue is it’s CONSTANTLY BURNING ME! The lid is very hard to grab on to and open and as soon as you do, you get burnt by steam. The lid is also very loose, and will unlatch its self when pouring. The design of the handle and spout locations also means you have to turn it almost upside down to get all the water out. Which of course means you get burnt with steam. If you buy this kettle, just buy some burn gel to go with it.

Rusted at the bottom. Only used it a month. I don't even leave it wet. I always wipe the inside dry after every use. And also, it doesn't stop heating on its own. I thought it's supposed to stop on its own. I have to do it myself before it gets way too hot, especially when I fill it less than half way up. It does heat up super fast though and the size it perfect. Another thing, the electrical cord is way too short.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] when I received this and I plug it in the blue was just incredible the light on this was just so beautiful I make a small pot of tea pomegranate and orange infused tea and all I do is boil the water in this and pour it in that little teapot and it boils it in three and a half minutes so it's so quick quicker than the stove favorite leave it to Hamilton Beach to come up with that is wonderful you can always count on Hamilton Beach to do it again you can trust their products so far everything I received from Hamilton Beach has been wonderful and that is my review on the Hamilton Beach compact glass kettle so go out and buy one you won't be standing at the stove waiting for your water to boil because it will boil a lot faster if you buy this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really excited about my new Hamilton Beach Compact Glass Kettle. I recently moved from a house that had a hot water faucet built into my sink into a house without one and really missed it. There is not a place for one in this new kitchen. This kettle takes the place of having one and is so quick that it doesn't need to keep the water hot all the time like the built in faucet thus saving on electricity. I have a five-burner stove and keep a trivet over one of the burners that my kettle sits on so that I can easily use it at any time. Now I can have my hot tea in a minute anytime!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, the packaging did a fantastic job of protecting the kettle. There were no misplaced or broken parts. The kettle feels solid while holding it. I rinsed it and set some water to heat up and just walked away for a minute. I got back in about a minute and the water was bubbling like crazy. I made a cup of hot chocolate and had to wait a little bit to cool down. My only complaint is non founded, the heating element is attached. I have to be careful when I wash it. But, as fast and efficient as it is, that overcomes the negative. All in all it’s a great kettle, very easy to use and I am going to especially take advantage this winter making hot drinks and soups and things I haven’t thought of yet!

Purchased this kettle for my husband after looking at lots of reviews. Wanted one that: was affordable, had a blue light, was mostly glass and/or stainless steel. The smaller size on this unit was a plus because we want to be able to use it for travel and the most water we need at once is 1L. We've only been using it for a week or so, but it's quick to boil. No issues to report. I haven't figured out the least awkward way to keep the spout open while filling but suspect I'll settle on propping it partway open and letting the faucet fill it through the pour spout area.
