How does this single room ERV work?
This unit works in alternating cycles. It exhausts stale indoor air, allowing the ceramic core to store heat, then switches to supply mode and brings in fresh outdoor air through that warmed core. This helps reduce heat loss while ventilating the room. The unit switches roughly every 75 seconds in regeneration mode.
What rooms is this ductless ERV suitable for?
This wall-mounted ERV is suitable for bedrooms, living rooms, home offices, condos, apartments, villas, hotels, cafés, and similar indoor spaces where fresh air ventilation is needed without installing full ductwork.
Is this a ductless ERV?
Yes. This is a ductless single room ERV designed for through-the-wall installation, making it a practical option for spaces where traditional ducted ventilation is not ideal.
What is the airflow of the Holtop ductless single room ERV?
With the F7 filter installed, airflow in supply or exhaust mode is rated at 20 / 40 / 50 m³/h, which is about 11.8 / 23.5 / 29.4 CFM depending on fan speed. In boost mode, max airflow is rated up to 60 m³/h or 35 CFM.
How efficient is the heat recovery?
The heat recovery efficiency at up to 97%. Actual performance can vary depending on installation, speed setting, and room conditions, but the unit is designed to recover a high level of heat from outgoing air.
How loud is the unit?
The sound pressure level is at 32.7 dB(A). This makes it a relatively quiet ventilation option for single rooms, though sound perception can still vary depending on where the unit is installed and the selected fan speed.
What wall thickness does this ERV fit?
The adjustable wall sleeve is designed for wall thicknesses between 220 mm and 360 mm. This makes it suitable for a range of exterior wall assemblies.
What size is the duct opening?
The air duct diameter is 158 mm.
What power supply does it use?
This model designed for 100 to 240V, 50/60 Hz power and is meant to connect directly to the socket.
Does this unit help improve indoor air quality?
Yes. By bringing in filtered outdoor air and exhausting stale indoor air, the ductless ERV helps improve indoor air quality in single rooms while reducing the energy loss normally associated with simple exhaust-only ventilation.
What makes this ERV a good option for retrofit projects?
Its through-the-wall ductless design makes it useful for retrofit applications, condos, bedrooms, offices, and spaces where adding full ductwork would be difficult or expensive. It provides fresh air ventilation in a compact wall-mounted format.
