Ordered, delivered, awesome

I love HP as a product. It is my go to for printers and ink. I got on the instant ink plan and I haven’t had to chase down ink since. Until now. I became a teacher and bought a second HP printer for my classroom since they have been so reliable. I saw that I could add the printer to my instant ink program. Awesome! The problem I face is that I need to have the printer on the internet network at school and I am not allowed. I tried using my phone as a hotspot and that’s a no go. So now, not only do I have instant ink for my home printer, I am back to purchasing ink for my work printer so that I can use it. I wish I knew before I bought it.

It has been so difficult to replace the ink for my printer!! I got it second hand and the previous owner had an instant ink subscription and I had no idea that rendered the printer useless until I could replace the ink with non instant ink cartridges. Then this order honestly took a long time to arrive and then I had to source the other colors locally anyways because it wouldn't run with just black. Now I have all this unused instant ink that is just meant to go to waste?! Between the instant ink program and the hassle of all this replacement I've been pretty displeased with my HP printer experience:(

It looks like the right size, but when it got delivered its not. Your sote said its flr my printer, but it's not. I dodnt thonl orderong ink could be such a a hassle. I have 3 cartridges now that dont fit and no black ink for my printer. Very frustrating

I have purchased this product many times but while it is not a constant issue, I have had to return the cartridge back to Best Buy due to the product being defective. I was even once on the line with an HP technical support party who also told me that the cartridge I just installed on my printer, was defective. This was determined after conducting several print tests. It has also happened to me personally two other times in the last 5 years, so it is not something that happens often, but it does. Ink cartridges in general can be defective when first purchased from any store.

Cartridge began showing "empty " soon after install - Printing came steady, and powerpoint slides printed all black backgrounds...way too soon with a new cartridge. Disappointed.

I have never had an issue with this HP ink working in my printer. However, I feel that it is wrong for my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 printer's firmware to reject all but genuine HP ink cartridges! I recently purchased another brand's colored ink cartridges, since they were much cheaper, and documented that they were suitable for use in my printer. However, I had to return them, because my printer wouldn't print using ink cartridges without an HP chip in them! I should be able to use other brands if I want to, since they are definitely much cheaper than HP ink cartridges!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Spent over $100 in April buying the XL tricolor and black cartridges. Rarely print in color yet I was having trouble printing recently. Getting a low ink error message. After I bought this non-XL version I found out that if you don’t use the printer frequently, the cartridges dry up. Started running a few print copies of ChatGPT and lo and behold. I haven’t needed to replace the cartridges that I bought. HP has a good racket going. Print frequently or the cartridges will dry up and you’ll have to replace them?
