First of all comments on other comments: Too thick - its inclined and only 1" at its thickest - not an issue Laptop slips off - made for 15" or smaller - stays on just fine if laptop has pads Quiet - that's relative - definitely nosier than the laptop fan but better than having to replace the laptop fan. It's a big fan - what do you expect? Well made - its got one large central fan which cools the area that has the most vents. The ones with 4 corner fans would be useless. Does it work - it keeps my MSI i7 below 50c on low usage and below 55c on high - works very well Overall very good

Report - Definitely worth the buy- July 9, 2019
I have a relatively new laptop and was getting concerned with how hard the internal fan was working whenever I tried playing any games (although that's something I tend to see in HPs). Boy did buying this external fan make huge difference. My laptop rarely warms up anymore, if ever. It also fits my laptop nicely (which is 15.6 inches), doesn't slip at all, and is incredibly quiet. About the only con to using this fan is that I can't have any hot liquids around while using it, otherwise they start to cool off.

Report - Laptop slides off the mat- August 21, 2016
Bought this today and not very satisfied. The design is cool, fan seems powerful. But the anti-slip design doesn't seems to work at all (at-least for my MacBook Pro 15 inch). As soon as the angle is adjusted (or even when you sit in a slanting position), the laptop just slides out of the mat, which is very annoying to me, because I always work with the computer on my lap. I do not recommend this to any one other than keeping the laptop on a desk, without using adjustable angle.
