[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very disappointing. This cable does NOT transfer at 1,000Mbps. I spent about 40 minutes running the cable through a pretty difficult path, only to find out that it only transfers at 100Mbps. I have a new 3k laptop with a gigabit NIC (computer not the problem) - 100Mpbs in every scenario with this cable. After wasting about an hour troubleshooting, I reluctantly decide to test with another cable. It couldn't be a $45 Best Buy cable, right? Wrong. I go sit next to my router and plug in a cheap/ old Cat5e cable, and boom, full Gigabit speeds. Unbelievable. An incredible waste of time and money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously cheaped out and got a "cat6" cable off of ebay, only to find out that the conductors inside were neither twisted nor made of copper. That cable also could not be punched down into a keystone, so it was basically useless to me. I wish i had just spent the few extra dollars from the start and gotten this cable. The conductors are properly twisted inside to prevent interference, they are actually made of copper and i was able to easily punch them down into a keystone on my first try. The exterior insulation of this cable is also of significantly higher quality.

I purchased it specifically for a wired connection while playing online games, since wireless connections are not always stable. After switching to a wired setup, the connection has been much more reliable, and I’m very satisfied with the performance. Thanks to my My Best Buy Plus membership, I received a discount of over 60%, which made this purchase an even better deal. Overall, I’m very happy with both the price and the quality. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i purchased this cable to do a temporary run of Cat 6 from my office to my living room where I have a 6 port switch connected and another one to go from the switch to my dining room where I have my indoor TV Antenna and HD HomeRun hooked up. They work flawlessly for what I need them to do until I can get Cat6 routed properly through the house, and I had plenty of extra cable length to spare. Once I'm through with them, I'll be able to have spare cables in case I need to make a very long patch.

Other Ethernet cables suffer from being stepped on by people which cuts off connections and you lag out. (Still don’t leave it in the open to be stepped on) My brother used to have some generic brand that would disconnect for no reason, I bought him this and his download speed jumped even higher. I’m going to buy my little brother one for Christmas because he also has a generic one. If you debating on this, jump on it. It’s the best Ethernet cable I’ve ever owned. This review is for the cable I bought for my second brother.
