[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my laptop to hookup to my TV and my soundbar. My soundbar doesn’t pass through 4k@60hz so I have to plug my laptop directly to the TV. Since this dongle is DP 1.2 and not 1.4, it doesn’t support HDR10. So instead of using it for display, I used it to connect to the soundbar for audio only. The price is a little high and you should try to find cheaper options if you plan on using it for HDR purposes. The only reason I got it was because there’s not a lot of options near me and I needed one ASAP.

No hassle set up, just make sure your device mentions DisplayPort capabilities on its USB-C ports, grab an HDMI cable, and you're good to go! I use it semi regularly to plug my laptop to the TV and play some games on a bigger screen. It even plays sound from the displaying device just fine, which surprised me as I thought this was only for the video output. An employee led me to this after I was looking for a way to display my laptop on my TV, and saved me from buying the wrong cable. $30 might seem like a steep price for what it is, but it hasn't failed me so far or anything, so it is what it is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well enough to extend either my MacBook Pro or my USB-C-only Asus Chromebook to an external monitor which, in my case, is a Sony Playstation 3D monitor...I just think it's a bit overpriced at 30 dollars though...one coulda just both a straight up USB-C/HDMI combo cable that starts at 15-20 bucks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rather than buying a docking station to get a second HDMI port for my work laptop at home I got this. Connected to Thunderbolt port, and it worked. No Drivers or settings just plug and play. Not sure if it works with a USB only port. Used almost every day for 3 months thus far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty simple and easy to use, I wanted to run two different screens off of my laptop (three including my laptop) but it only has one HDMI port but had a USB-C port so I bought this, now I have three different screens and it makes multitasking much easier.
