Unfortunately for Mitchell, his wagon breaks down in dangerous terriority. While trying to repair their wagon and continue their journey they encounter a hostile group of Native Americans who realize what he has and offer the travelers an ultimatum: the rifles or their lives! The movie is notable for its portrayal of the rugged frontier life and the struggle for survival in the untamed wilderness of early America, as well as the clash of cultures.
