What customers are saying

The product has mixed reviews. Many users find it versatile and easy to use, able to grind a variety of foods. However, a significant number report quality issues, with plastic parts breaking or cracking after limited use. Some experienced the grinder shaft or screw tip breaking, rendering the attachment unusable. There are also concerns about the plastic version's durability compared to the metal version. Overall, the product seems to work well for many, but there are clear reliability and longevity concerns, especially with heavier use or tougher ingredients.

    Make’s Good Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this now I know what is exactly in my burgers or sausage. I have even used different types of meat to make a meatloaf. You can grind your veggies with the meat cheese and it gets combined perfectly. Nothing stops this grinder. You get two different size extruder. Attaching to the mixer is straightforward. Cleaning is a breeze due to the fact that everything comes apart for easy cleaning. Do not put this in the dishwasher. The grinder is easy to use and what ever product you need ground this will do it.

    This Grinder is Awesome

    Reviewed by - November 9, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this food grinder a month ago and it is perfect for my small kitchen. With it being an attachment to my loving long lasting stand mixer, it is perfect! I can install it to my stand mixer very quickly and easily. I can also take it apart super fast and clean out all the nooks and crannies. It grinds the meat into the perfect ground beef texture.

Black residue in my ground meat from FGA-2

    Reviewed by - January 3, 2021

I’ve used this food grinding attachment a few times now, but this is the first time I’ve noticed black gunk coming from the front of the corkscrew. I re-read the instructions, cleaned it and re-tried it 3x, and it still happens. KitchenAid FAQs say it can happen when the front is screwed on too tightly. Total bunk. The gunk smells like grease. Somehow it’s coming from the inside of the corkscrew. This is NOT user error, rather a poorly designed product. Do not buy unless you want black, greasy gunk in your food.

    Grinder concern

    Reviewed by - April 29, 2020

Have been using my grinder attachment for the past two years and have been very happy with it. However I've recently noticed cracks forming where the plastic covers the metal assembly attaching the grinder to the stand mixer. Is this solely a cosmetic issue or should I be concerned about the grinder failing and possibly contaminating food? Please advise. Thanks for a great product.

But this attachment is the worth machine I ever got I did not give up in my first try but it did not do the job for any kind of meat (beef or chicken) not even onions I was planning to get all attachements but I recognize all will be the same I did not want to waste more money and more time or gas now I am doing my old way for grinder but I wish this did not happen. KitchenAid Awesome Accessory

    Reviewed by - December 7, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love to cook and make homemade burgers, sausage, meatballs, etc. The KitchenAid Food Grinder Attachment, is a great accessory that allows me to grind various types of meat and cheese to customize my recipes. The food grinder attaches to the power hub of your KitchenAid Stand Mixer, (not included), and uses the power of the mixer to operate. I had no problem attaching the grinder, and using it to grind beef, pork, onions, and garlic so far. I immediately hand wash the parts after use. Although, the plastic seems sturdy and the attachment seems well made, and works great for home dinners, I am not sure if it would hold up for making large amounts of sausage or ground meat. The KitchenAid Food Grinder Attachment helps process fresh ingredients quickly and easily for making great meals.

Can't find a replacement for part that cracked

I have used this food grinder for many years, and it still works great, however the plastic where it is attached to the metal (where it attaches to the mixer) has cracks all the way around. They're getting bigger and I can't find a way to order a replacement for just that part

I purchased my grinder two weeks ago. I used it just two times. As you see in the photos, it seems poor quality material are used for this product. In photo no 3, the metallic axes is rusty. I'm very sad for KitchenAid. how is it well known brand and use this poor quality.
