Poor design - Avoid at all costs

    Reviewed by - May 19, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop was the “upgrade” from the builder. Apparently, no one that company has ever used it, nor have the people that designed it used it. I say that because it is such an awful layout. By putting the knobs across the front of the unit instead of clustered in the center front, the areas for the 2 left and 2 right burners are too small to be functional. A regular sized frying pan used on the front burners will extend over the top of the control knobs making it dangerous to use. It’s also extremely difficult to see the writing on the controls because it blends in with the stainless steel. The only bright spot is that the center burner has a dual burner design which will quickly heat a pot of water. I’ve been using this unit in my newly constructed house for 2 months and all I keep thinking is that I can’t wait until I replace it with a cooktop designed to be used to cook on.

    Good range with some reservations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I like: looks nice in kitchen, cooks relatively well, knobs and burners disassemble easily for cleaning (compared to prior 20 yr old Jenn air ) What I don't like: surface feels like sandpaper so jury is still out on ease of wiping down surfaces, there is a pre-set low for 4 burners. I want to have free control to turn the flame down as low as possible on any burner, grates already (<3 months,) showing some brown tarnishing which cannot be cleaned off/scraped off so presumably it's the effect of the heat plus maybe also oil/grease.

    POORLY DESIGNED cooktop!

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - July 31, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] worst cooktop, if you like cooking. Large burners are at counter edge of grate, where only a 6 3/8" diameter pot can be used. Small burners are situated so they can take large pans. Knobs jiggle loosely and the heat settings are nearly invisible unless you're 4' tall (the height/angle at which the settings are legible). The surface is rough - NOT brushed - as if sorayed with an adhesive, collects fibers from sponges and cloths and never looks clean. HORRIBLE design.

    Decent cooktop

    Reviewed by - October 17, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave 4 stars but would say it's more like 3.5 stars. It's a nice-looking cooktop and the cooktop functions well (see photo of mine). So far (5 months in), the cooktop burners have all lit right up each and every time. I particularly like the center burner (see photo), which is like a booster burner when, oddly enough, you put the knob in the 'middle' position. It causes a nice gust of flames from both the edges, but also straight up the middle. It helps shave time off when boiling water. What I don't care much for is that the surface isn't what I would call easy to clean. Messes just don't wipe off very easily for some reason. I also don't like the low setting on the two front corner burners. On my old range top, the low settings on the larger burners was absolutely perfect for simmering. That was a GE Profile cooktop that I purchased some 15 years ago with my last new build home. Unfortunately, this one doesn't quite go low enough for a basic simmer. Instead, it retains a boil. The only option is to move the pan to one of the small burners, and then it only heats a small portion of a 10" skillet. The other gripe I have is the markings for the knobs are so incredibly light, it's hard to easily see which knob goes to which burner (see 2 photos, couldn't even capture the markings well at all) Overall, it's a nice unit. Is it great? Maybe not. Is it bad? No.

Designed to look sleek, not work well/be practical

    Reviewed by - July 9, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came in my new build house and I hate it. The stainless steel underneath the risers is textured and hard to clean without using powerwash. The risers themselves are very heavy and despite having a massive sink, don't fit in my sink very well when they do need cleaning. I'm a young monther who is physically fit, so I can't imagine how hard it would be for an older woman to keep them clean or get underneath them if something dropped. The graphics above the dials are difficult to see- almost impossible unless you get exactly the right lighting or are nearly eye level with them to catch which knob turns on which burner. Most of the time now I just guess until I get it right, which is a real pain in the rear after 2 months but short of marking it with a sharpy (which my husband would be horrified at) I have no choice. Overall, poorly designed; looks pretty but not as functional as it should be.

    Tested Durability

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - January 11, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we replaced our old gas cooktop after 10 years and we took our time for replacement. We checked quality, size, easy cleaning and maintenance. We decided to buy KitchenAid. And it is tested this last Holiday since family members came in from other states and they all love to cook. They cook all the time. And I only gets the chance to clean the cooktop once a week. And it passed the durability and easy maintenance test. Still looks new.

    Great features!

    Reviewed by - November 9, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In planning a kitchen remodeling project, I wanted a cooktop that was functional. The first feature I liked was the center duel burner. Great for larger pots , with NO crowding to the other burners. The burner racks are high enough that they clear the igniter buttons when pulling off a pan. Very well made, easy to clean. Sharp design. Will compliment your kitchen design. Very pleased.
