Burners work well but...
- November 24, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The burners work well but there are several significant negatives: 1) Stainless steel surface easily scratchable. 2) The H,M, L markings on the knobs are barely visible as if they are already faded from aging. My stovetop is only 1-month old. 3) There are black streaks formed on 1 of the silver burner rings that cannot be cleaned up. 4) There are white spots on the black grids that cannot be removed.

Great purchase.
- March 19, 2022[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best cooktop. Heats up fast and has double flame controls on two burners. Super nice for cooking vegetables and frying bacon. I keep it on the lowest setting to cook slow and not to burn anything. Plenty of flame power if you need it. Totally was worth paying more for the dual flames. Nice cooking. You will love it.

Do Not Buy! Impossible to see temperature settings
- February 16, 2026I love All my Kitchenaid anppliances except this one.. we remodeled our kitchen with All kitchen aid and I would recommend everything except KCGS956ESS Cooktop. The letters that show the temperature settings are impossible to see. This is by design so there is little you can do desired buying cheap 3rd party stickers.

Very nice butt.....
- October 9, 2020Just got this installed and like it quite a bit. I would suggest a design change though, swap the 2 left burners from front to back so the big one doesn't heat up the controls area. I like that this is made in the USA but was disappointed to see the sticker about that was placed over a small scratch in the finish, so it wouldn't be seen by Quality Control? - Made on line 62 date 9/29/2020 (knocked 2 stars off Quality for that). Also like others have mentioned, it's difficult to see the control labels due to the way it's etched/printed in a color that is almost identical to the stainless. (knocked 1 star design for this and the left burner positions

Great cooktop, but letter is hard to read...
- August 9, 2021[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like this cooktop. It replaced an old Wolf cooktop. It took some cutting in our granite countertop to get it to fit, but it was worth it. My only complaint is that the letters and markings around each of the control knobs are extremely faint. Depending on the time of day they are almost impossible to read. The pictures of this cooktop on the KA site show them as dark black, but that was not the case with ours. We had a KA technician take a look and he even ordered a replacement top plate, but the printing was equally faint on it. You figure out the orientation of the knobs quickly enough, but its a bit disappointing in an otherwise well made (and not inexpensive) cooktop to have the lettering unreadable. In terms of cooking, though, we couldn't be happier.

Not my ideal cooktop
- April 19, 2025Thought this cooktop would be a beautiful addition to our remodeled kitchen.we have used it for six months. My husband likes the fast start and the amount of pressure it puts out. However, the brushed metal surface is very difficult to clean. Paper towels and cloths get caught on the rough stainless steel. Two of the burners only come apart with a screwdriver to be able to clean under them. The griddle is not of good quality.Had I known these issues I wound not have purchased it.

Good burner options and layout.
- April 7, 2023[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just installed so only used a couple times. Like the raised grill look also all the burner options like turbo, 3 types of simmer and the melt. Burners on high heat like they should. Knobs feel nice and love they light up when on. Only negative is the stainless steel in all burner area is too rough. Needs to be polished more with a smoother finish for wiping and cleaning. I am going to attempt to do this. Will review in a few months for updates....

Lots of Fire Power
- February 17, 2023[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop is built to accommodate cooks of every description, large or small. Whether you're heating a pot of water for pasta or simmering chocolate over a low flame, you'll find the setting you need. You can do both and more with the five burners and optional griddle. The necks of the control knobs light up when the burners are on, a nice safety feature.

Nice addition.
- September 29, 2025[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had an electric stove for 20+ years and when we decided on a full kitchen remodel I knew I wanted to go with gas. Shopped for different brands of cooktops and decided on KA. I love the cooktop. Fairly easy to clean. My only wish is that this came in all black as we went with the black stainless appliances.

Kitchen Aid stove.
- July 11, 2025[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product. The only regret is due to the drill distance from the flame it takes longer for ports to get to right temperature. This is not an energy efficient stow top. Cheaper version of other brands have more effective heat and are more energy efficient.
