What customers are saying

The KitchenAid coffee grinder is generally well-received as an affordable and effective option. Customers report that it grinds beans quickly and efficiently, producing a consistent grind. Many appreciate the simple one-touch operation, removable grinding cup, and compact size. The grinder is praised for its quality construction, powerful motor, and quiet operation. While a few note the grind may not be as fine or uniform as more expensive models, and some experienced durability issues, overall the grinder provides good value and performance for the price.

    Terrible

    Reviewed by - December 21, 2020

Bought this two weeks ago, used it almost daily and as far a coffee grinder goes, this is terrible. It grinds coffee alright but ground coffee is never there same; you get different grind size. To make things worse, the coffee beans that are closes to the blade get pulverized into almost an espresso grind AND get stuck at the bottom, under the blade while the rest of the coffee beans get ground into different sizes. Regardless of how many ounces of coffee I use, whether for 2 people or 4, the same problem persists: beans not ground to the same size and ground to a finer consistency at the bottom. Looks great and build quality is good but just doesn't do the job it was supposed to. I wish I could return and get my money back. My old, broken 10 year old braun grinder grinds way better than this.

    Does the job!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does the work. I dried my herbs and grinded them and they ate perfect for storing in my seasoning container for the holidays.

    Nice design and woks well

    Reviewed by - December 22, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boyfriend bought this for me as my other coffee grinder broke. I enjoy using this and love the sleek design. It grinds well and I like that the metal part can be detached so it's easy to wash. Great deal for the kitchen aide brand too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coffee grinds and spills all over the space. The spice grinder lid is not included.

    Beware the per cup markings

    Reviewed by - January 19, 2017

Just got a BCG1110B a few days ago. We replaced the coffee pot at the same time. It took me a few days to check the fill lines and compare them to what it says in the user manual. I found that the 12 cup mark is 18 tablespoons, not 14 as it says in the manual. In fact all of the lines are for a number of tablespoons equal to 1.5 x number of cups. (I checked with several measuring device) Also note that the 8 to 10 distance and 10 to 12 distance are both one cm so it is unlikely the volume differences would be 3 and 2 tbsp. Anyway, it is easy to adjust, and I like being able to pour the coffee into grinder rather than count coffee scoops. Just beware, and perhaps the user manual can be updated or the markings on the grinder corrected in the next redesign.

    KitchenAid - Coffee Grinder Review

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - November 14, 2014

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this grinder as an alternative to my Proctor Silex coffee grinder. While the build quality is a lot better, the Kitchen Aid grinder is heavy and noisy. You need to press down on the lid while its grinding as a safety measure. Pros: Well built. Good quality components. Removable dishwasher safe stainless steel grinder container with markings. Cons: Power cord is not retractable. Noisy operation. Grinding of coffee beans is inconsistent at times, needs to be ground longer even though it has a powerful motor as opposed to other brands. Ground coffee sticks to the sides at bottom of the container near the blades.

    Great appliance, but...

    Reviewed by - December 22, 2016

Best grinder I've ever used. As a guy who really needs to measure any items relating to food, the cup tick marks on the bowl are much appreciated and have delivered accurate measurements to assure good coffee reliably. But... the plastic at the base of the steel bowl has broken twice now, for 2 different users (wife and I) with no rough handling. The first time I was able to superglue the piece back on and that worked fine. Today the plastic broke at an entirely different spot and into many pieces. I'll replace the part and keep using the grinder, but it's a disappointing weak spot apparently. Hence only 4 stars.

    KitchenAid Coffee Grinder

    Verified BuyerReviewed by - April 23, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, this product is so cute and beautiful to look at, I love the red color and I love how easy it is to grab and use! It is so efficient to even take for a travel if I want a freshly ground cup of coffee. It stores easily because of its small size. It is perfect not only for grinding my fresh coffee beans, but also, when I am baking during the holidays, it makes the best spice grinder! I actually plan to buy a second one, so that I can dedicate one just for spices! I bought this one on sale, the deal was a steal! It is all American-made, which means it will last you forever if you treat it well.

    Doesn't grind beans evenly

    Reviewed by - April 21, 2020

I've loved the other KitchenAid products I've purchased in the past, which is why this coffee grinder proved doubly disappointing. It doesn't grind coffee beans evenly. I'm always left with a layer of very coarsely ground beans on top and a tightly packed layer of too finely-ground beans on the bottom around the blades. I only ever fill it up halfway, so being too full isn't the problem. It's also really loud and the lid doesn't secure onto the base (by design). I like that the cup is metal and dishwasher-safe, but that's about where the positives end. My GE coffee grinder worked ten times better.

    Best in this Style

    Reviewed by - May 23, 2014

I've had great success with Kitchenaid products over a lifetime, so when I needed to replace my old coffee grinder, I decided to spend a little extra and avoid the cheaper traditional units. Wow! Every part of this machine lives up to the Kitchenaid design ? it's as though the team that designed this actually used other grinders to see what needed to be improved. Great job! Just one thing; you have to read and follow the instructions. Although it's a coffee mill, it works quite differently; no pulsing, for one thing. Read the tips, rinse it out every day, and you'll love this machine.
