    Absolute Garbage - slow

    Reviewed by Jordan - November 28, 2020

Will be Returning this. This cuts internet speeds by about 90-99%. Advertises fast results - it is a lie. Internet from my router is roughly 300mbps when in close proximity. Plugged this extender half way across the house to help carry that signal further, and I'm getting 15mbps. The extender ate all of it. Whereas, my original router is still faster at the furthest end of my house with 1 bar of wifi signal (receiving 74mbps). Don't bother with this thing unless you're in absolute dire need for wifi extension and do not care about speed.

    DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I don’t know where all these 4/5 star reviews came from because this product is a scam. First few months go well but then suddenly it stops working. It frequently disconnects until it doesn’t connect at all. Never mind the trouble you through each time to reconnect it. Then when I tried to speak to their customer service to use warranty they said there’s nothing they can do and hang up.

    No Install Instructions Available Online

    Reviewed by - August 23, 2022

If WPS set doesn't work, you're routed to online. Instructions do not contain the router instructions. Only instructions for latest routers. Used download on product page - sends you in a circle going back to the setup page that does not pertain to this model. Tried with "connecting" to the NETGEAR_EXT and doesn't work. Page won't open.

    Good at first but then...

    Reviewed by Nageh - July 26, 2020

Easy to set up and use but after a month it disconnected on its own and just stopped working like it knew my 30 days to return was over so it started acting stupid. I'm so close to breaking it because of all the drop connection it gives me during important meetings.

    Pretty good

    Reviewed by AGoodFriendOfYours - June 10, 2020

This product was very useful taking my existing network strength from 5 mbps to 20-30 mbps. It works great ALTHOUGH it works well with only around 3-5 devices.

    Easy install, quality product

    Reviewed by - August 24, 2022

The setup took only a few moments before it was ready to go. The relatively compact design helps with not taking up too much wall space and leaves the other outlet slot open, which is great. There was not a single thing I found to be wrong or broken on my product. Just remember: wifi extenders do not help with increasing your internet speeds. This helps with your computer or device not being able to detect your home wifi or for when it barely connects. The download speeds will remain the same. If you are looking for increased download speed, check your system’s hardware and consider a wifi adapter or mesh system if you have the money.

    Incredibly Unhelpful Device

    Reviewed by - August 21, 2023

Ultimately the WiFi range extender was of no use as we couldn't get it to work properly. The instructions included were not accurate, when I spoke to their tech support they required that Installed a third party remote desktop software tool to access my computer and then tried to convince me that I had a trojan virus attacking my wifi network and preventing the router installation from working. Then friend to upsell me into buying their firewall protection software. I refused and when I disconnected from the remote desktop connection all issues they were claiming to be occuring disappeared. I ran firewall tests, antivirus scans

    Works well

    Reviewed by Tony - August 12, 2020

I used WPS to hook up with my router. The process is simple. However it took quite a while to power on (for the first time) and also quite a while to establish a connection that I initially thought it did not work. After repeating a few times the LED finally turned solid green and it's ready! The signal is strong indoor, but not that strong when going through the exterior brick/masonry wall. Overall, I am pretty happy with it and the internet connection 2 floors below my router has greatly improved.

Greatly Improves WiFi Reception Upstairs and Down

    Reviewed by - May 29, 2019

I recently purchased a new TV for my upstairs bedroom, and it needs a WiFi connection for Netflix, etc. The signal was weak, so I ordered a second Netgear EX6120 to place upstairs, and it did the trick. Both the 2G and 5G signals are now very strong throughout our 3200 square foot, two-story house. BTW, if you're going to sue two of these extenders, I suggest using the on-line installation routine and giving them different names. My downstairs router's networks are named Downstairs2 and Downstairs 5G, the upstairs are Upstairs2 and Upstairs5G. That allows me to dedicate one extender's connections to those areas and to ignore the weaker signals from the other one.

    Reliable

    Reviewed by - May 28, 2023

This is the first range extender I've bought and after looking up reviews I found this one. I had no idea how easy it was to connect to my router and I haven't had not one problem with it ever since. I love when products connect so easy and never have any issues. I had called customer support for advice on connecting it but by the time the customer service tech got connected to me it was already connected and running properly. The service tech just went over a few things with me and viola. Done. Great product, price and very reliable. It's been a week since I bought it and connected it to my router and not one issue.
