The Nikon NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.4 Lens is a versatile wide-angle prime for Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras, combining a bright maximum aperture, advanced optical performance, responsive autofocus, and compact construction for photography and video production. Its natural 35mm perspective is ideal for street photography, landscapes, architecture, environmental portraits, and documentary applications, while the bright f/1.4 aperture provides excellent low-light performance and greater control over depth of field to isolate subjects against beautifully blurred backgrounds. The optical design incorporates two aspherical elements to minimize distortion and optical aberrations while keeping the lens lightweight and portable. A rounded nine-blade diaphragm produces smooth, artistic bokeh with pleasing focus transitions. An STM stepping motor provides fast, accurate, smooth, quiet autofocus for both still photography and video recording, while reduced focus breathing maintains consistent framing during focus transitions. Its balanced design is well suited to gimbals and camera cages, and a customizable clickless Control Ring enables smooth, silent aperture or ISO adjustments while recording. A minimum focusing distance of just 10.6" allows detailed close-ups with creative background separation. At approximately 3.5" long and under 1 lb, the lens is portable and comfortable handheld. A knurled Control Ring and rubber-coated focusing ring provide intuitive handling, while dust- and water-resistant construction improves reliability in challenging conditions. The NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.4 balances optical quality, low-light versatility, and professional video capabilities.
