[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to have a Chromebook Pro, so charging my Switch wasn't an issue when I was away from home. But I recently sold that device and found my self with no good charger to give it enough juice. Your average cellphone charger won't be enough to charge the Switch and it will be slow if you put it to sleep. I also don't recommend using any third party charger because they might end up damaging the Switch's USB-C port. So the only option left, is to get officially licensed Nintendo products. $30 is a bit high but it is a powerful charger and will probably last me a long while. I recommend waiting for a sale but otherwise, this is a good charger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this for traveling/having in my bag. It is...bulky. Not a deal breaker, but something to consider if you're bringing it with you. Much less bulky than taking the entire dock with you and much more convenient than having to disconnect a dock from a tv in order to charge your switch outside of your home. It's safest to go with nintendo-licensed products to avoid bricking your switch, so this is really the way to go imo. That said, the switch battery is great and will hold up through the day if you're playing on transit or the like, so this is more for longer-term travel in my experience, or ease of charging when your dock isn't as accessible.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's face it, if there were a generic one that was way cheaper and worked just as well we all would probably have bought it. But for all the quirks with USB-c interface that Nintendo has tweaked for the hdmi output and otherwise, you want something that is just going to work and deliver the right power to your device. Looks just like the one that came with your Switch and has a good length. For me it was helpful if I'm taking the dock or I'm on a long trip and I don't want to do all the wiring I have behind the tv. Just pack this one as your travel unit. Works great but would be perfect if it was $15/$20 instead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to buy a replacement charger for my Switch when my original one broke. This is the same official charger that you would receive in-box if you were buying a brand new Switch, so everything works like you would expect. The cable length is somewhere around 6-feet which can be a bit of a problem depending on your personal TV setup. The way it hooks in to the back of the Switch's dock can make the dock particularly prone to being dragged if someone trips over the cable, so be sure to tuck it away. Thankfully the transformer brick is rather slim and the plug is non-polarizing so if you're strapped for outlet space you shouldn't have to hard of a time fitting this in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a charger for the Switch, so.... it does exactly what you'd think. But I have 2 complaints: -it's $30! Come on Nintendo. The Switch is really a handheld. I find most of the accessories' MSRP for the Switch to be too high. -this one may not be fair, but I honestly think the cable should be USB into the adaptor, and users should he able to swap it. I mean they took the step of making the cable usb-c, which is pretty universal. Why not allow me to charge other devices? I realize it wasn't advertised to do that, but it seems like something that could have been easily included. Especall for that price point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know if it may just be my switch or not but this is the third time I have bought this charger in hopes it would work, unfortunately all the times I've bought it they never manage to charge it. I plug it into my switch and nothing happens, I have checked to see if my outlet was the problem but it turned out it was just the charger because other chargers different from this one have seemed to work successfully.
