- Poor Quality & Unreliable... after long term use.- July 25, 2019
Poor Quality & Unreliable... after long term use. Bought this in Best Buy 11 months ago with the expensive trim kit. After 11 months of use, it produced an arc and burnt due to faulty magnetron. Luckily I still had one month of warranty left. Got a replacement under warranty and right out box, when plugged it started making a high pitch noise. Service dealer came again and said faulty control panel. I owned Panasonic microwaves and had a high opinion, but this model changed my perspective. I lost the confidence on the brand & model. With the trim kit installed my options are limited and stuck with this model. Avoid this product.

- handy helper around the kitchen- January 6, 2021
We had a smaller version of the microwave. After 5 years, it started to rust at the bottom and look tired, and we decided to replace it with a product from the same brand. The new microwave that we got is great: It has more room, and my son actually jokingly said that we can prepare our next turkey in there. It also has this new function for warming up beverages which help to prevent spillage. The only thing I miss is the function for melting butter and cheese: They provide an explanation on how to do it in the manual, but the feature is not shown on the body of the microwave itself like what happened to our old microwave.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

- Failed after just 35 months of use- November 25, 2019
Pros: cyclone technology thaws, warms, heats and cooks to perfection! We really loved the NN-ST975S size, power and program features until it failed after only 35 months (24 month warranty)! Our credit card offer an additional year of coverage but requires getting an estimate at a Panasonic service center, opening a service ticket, an insurance claim, waiting 3 weeks to find out what's defective and then dealing with the complex credit card insurance claim if repairable, transport in back and get it back in the kitchen. If not, we still need to wait a minimum of 3 weeks for Panasonic service center to take a look at the oven to get it repaired! We're a family of 6, the holidays are a few weeks out and I'm seriously contemplating simply going out to buy another brand new identical model, that's on sale this week, because we simply need a functional oven NOW. Update: still waiting but after some online investigating, I found that a common problem are one of 3 door safety switches contacts overheat and blow the main fuse which would be easy to test and repair for some DIYourselfer, if it wasn't for the tamper resistant screws that require a special tool to open it up. I'll confirm the diagnosis with another update when Panasonic get around to taking a look
